Sugarbush

went today it was really fun. they added on 2 features in the skate style park that they didnt have before. now a boxjump to orange bonk. then like a wide 12 foot box. if you dont stop you can get a mad flowy run. and I learned how to hit that pole jam!
 
go faster and turn before it?

i wont be back to vermont until january 18th so im hoping they get the real park open and adjusted by then. i think they should have enough snow there by then.
 
Oh I know I will ski sick pow in Utah but ive heard you talking about these sweet powder stashes at bush and you need to enlighten me of them
 
basically go in the woods anywhere on days when they have some fresh snow. the stashes at lincoln were there because the bush got at least an inch a day for a week. just had to get to a point in the woods that hadnt been touched yet. wasnt really hard.

and i found the stashes on mt ellen (opening day of ellen, so nothing in the woods was touched) without realizing that they are actual glades, i just found my own entrance a little above the real thing (i finally found a trail map that showed glades on their site) however, i probably went quite a bit deeper than the actual glades at most times.

any updates on the park?

they said they dont even have plans to be blowing snow for jumps etc... shitty!

il be there tomorrow again doin hotlaps with the gopro!
 
i can ask my friend when they plan on getting everything at least set up in the real park, and when they plan on getting jumps built. ill get back to you guys.
 
he says that they (sugarbush) dont know when things will get set up or when jumps will be started but they should have stuff by the time i get back. i get back mid-january... so a few more weeks guys. just a few more weeks. i will be so happy when i dont have to take my skis off to hike back up.

Ima be skiing at South tommorow with my cousins. If your looking to shred give me a yell. I ride on Volkl bridges and wear mostly all brown. I also am using the new line static backback. We got buds if your trying to burn.
 
Sugarbush parks is at the bottom of the ladder for snowmaking... mounds of snow for jumps is the last priority on the mountain.

mountains in new england predicted up to two feet from thursday to saturday. the entire state of vermont is in the 12-18 range.

this doesnt just mean powder, this means two feet closer to a park, and 2 feet less snow needed on the rest of the mountain. dont get what im saying? snow guns will be less necessary on the rest of the mountain. more snow for the park, sooner!

damn this sucks being stuck in maine with no car, no skis, and no money... stupid holiday breaks from college.

message from my park crew friend to me and the crew from norwich university:

"yo so i just got the word today that we're starting to build the big park next week so it will be up and running when you guys get back. im sure youre all stoked to hear that"

we get back in just over 2 weeks so im guessing two weekends from now it will be nice.
