how is sugar bush so far?? im going up the third week in january for a vacation, any idea on how it will be then? thanks

We got a foot of snow over the weekend but we have lost some due to drizzle. The season is starting to look better but we are keeping our fingers crossed.

As of now we have 65+ trails open and a good base to build upon. The conditions aren't bad but we could use more snow, although we will continue to make snow to keep everything soft.

Check the website: www.sugarbush.com for trails reports and snow status. We are accurate and don't try to mislead people.

Happy New Year to all........here's to 2007!!!

^dont listen is gonna suck now with this warm weather plus only things they have set up are a flat box and a down rail and dats about it

im guessing neither, i dont think the trees would great, if even skiable, but i havent been in the mountains for a few days so i cant be taken as truth

i was there yesterday, nothing by the way of tree skiing. They still only had the flat rails and a small jump. But that is the whole east coast right now, no need to shit on sugarbush because snow hasnt fallen yet

This season is already frustrating.....the weather patterns are crazy.

We need to make more sacrifices to the snow gods. Make sure you all do too!

what you need to do is set-up some of those new boxes you got at the bottom. If you can drag 3 rails all the way to the top of the mountain whats so hard about setting up the trap or c-rails at the bottom. Its frustrating seeing all the new rails at the bottom and little flat ones set up. It doesnt take that much snow for a couple cool new set ups

Exactly I dont see why you guys cant just set up some stuff. It would attract so many more people to the mountain cause skiing these days is all about freestyle.

I understand your comments. The biggest issue was the fact the ground thawed with the rain we had.

We had Super Parx this past weekend to work on the set up and flow, but with the rain they decided it was best to get some more snow so they can help set up a bunch of features.

No one is more frustrated at seeing the features at the bottom not getting used than us. We just want to make sure it's all done properly.

You raise good points though.

i was wondering that too. their website says that the jib scene area opened up, but it doesnt say anywhere what is actually in the jib scene.

It is located at the base of Mt. Ellen (also known as Sugarbush North). They have features looking down towards the base lodge.

We got 14" of snow at the summits and it's cold again.

so i have the oppertunity to lodge for free for this weekend but i have to pay for flights and lift tickets which will add up to at least $400 ...is it worth it what so ever?

there is two flat boxes, a flat rail, and a trap box at the bottom if i am not mistaken. there is also a little flat bar and an up bar at the top of the mountain. next to the boxes at the bottom is a little 15-20 foot table, which i hit switch.

hows the rest of the mountain? im going up wensday for 3 days of skiing, so i hope that there will be a good amount of terrain open.

there was like 7 inches of fresh on wednesday, but a bad base. they were blowing snow around the clock though so maybe it will be better.

any one that works there or was there today, will they be able to expand over the next couple days?? and hopwfully have something of a park.

yup. that c box is the dopest. or the trap. well done sugarbush.

Any idea when sunny D will have some snow getting blown on it?

haha congrats big man.

how is this snow teating you guys? im coming up tomorrow, tuesday, and cant wait to hit the jumps...switch!

yeah, they had a fun setup, i was impressed. it was very hard today, tuesday the 16th, but the bottom jump is decent, and the trap box is fun. hard snow though, but nothing they can do about that, they groomed out the jump line in the morning while we were booting up.
