Sugarbush 10/11

Hey hey hey hey hey. You know you enjoyed our shenanigans yesterday: Dan's BN, Dan eating the river dog, Dan falling trying a 3, Dan's home made gypsy shall, Dan's joyous nature................ Milky Afterbirth, Dat Nu Nu, the lack of Mease, the excessive amount of grass rock and dirt skiing.

BTW, my arms and neck are soooo sunburnt.

I was just joking; it was so much fun yesterday. From the BBQ sauce to getting props for Cossacking off of everything.

I want to go skiing

fuck this fucking autoplay. fuck you, fuck this edit, and fuck sugarbush. and fuck all you other fucking fuckers.

but yeah, im stoked to have a team and a crew of real good skiers to roll with next year. thats when i learn, and i want to learn.

LOL doing this on my own....... I have learned half the stuff I can do when I skied alone, the other half was when we were just having tons of fun, not trying to be good. I'm guessing you have to pay to be on this team? Being on a team seems like it takes the fun out of skiing, I wouldn't want to be on the team at Bush...... Plus who cares about getting better, why not just have fun and get better that way?

And yes, fuck autoplay, this is the first time it's ever happened to me.

I wish i could learn this way...
I am always thinking about things to try, but never really commit to them when I am on my own. Skiing alone, I just don't push myself.

Yea true, some people learn differently. But the 2 scariest things I can do (blind swaps and cork 5's) I learned while skiing alone surprisingly. But skiing with people who will push you definitely helps. It just isn't for me. I always wanted to be on a team until I saw all the teams and it just didn't look fun to me.

LEIK OMG SICK PROGRESSION IS SICK

^Have you ever done a blind swap on a rail 3ish feet off the ground? That's what I learned it on, and blind swaps are one of the scariest rail tricks. I've never seen you blind swap charlie.

Say our shenanigans----> list things Dan did.

And Wes, It was good you have you shred with us. You can find an elitist attitude at the bush, but I think it is to a lesser degree than you find at Stowe. Definitely a large consideration for why I will be staying at bush instead of going back to stowe.

Since I went to an academy last year and the year before that I can safely say that academies/ski clubs are what you make of it. I see some kids try and some just cruise around like it's a daycare service on skis. The team setting helps you get pushed and having coaching around definitely helps in most cases and can make you a more rounded skier. I have learned tricks just by myself pushing myself too but to nebula, skiing in a club is fun and you will improve a lot. To nuckles, I don't even know why i typed this whole thing out but just wondering what didn't look appealing about a team?

Well when I skied at Stowe 2 years ago on my school trip senior year of high school, the Stowe team kids were the biggest douches, had the fucking worst attitudes, and is half the reason why I have a strong disliking for Stowe. Then at Sugarbush this year, the team just didn't look fun. When kids were saying they were off the "train: I was like, well that sucks. Plus I wouldn't like being told what I have to do on features, I would feel like if I couldn't do it and everyone else could I would just be an outcast. I want to be able to ski where I want when I want and how I want. I don't want rules telling me what to do each run.

KMS isn't like that. Well they are to a certain extent, but all the times I skied with them it was super chill. Everyone is ridiculously nice, not cocky at all, and the coach is super chill.

I have never been on a ski team so I have only seen this from the outside.

At Sugarbush, it seems the freestyle team is a bunch of talented, yet pompous kids. This probably just a shell, because I've skied with a few outside of Sugarbush and they were nice. It is something that when you have talent and a "posse" you just become a group of asses. This is Suagrbush and what I've seen at Stowe as well.

I disagree. Coach is not the right word. I feel like having a Malone or Nolan-like (MHSSC reference) mentor would be awesome to have all season

Yeah that's what the KMS coach is like. He's just there to help you get better. Notice how well all the KMS kids did at nationals...and then they put out banger videos. Meanwhile they're having fun all season.

I'm almost positive I tried to give a high five to you at the top of the of wood park and you were like, "What"

I am almost positive that was you
