Sugarbush 10/11

booter they built for the comp is rediculous. 55 foot step up or a 30 foot option. Its sick, super poppy! best jump the bush has had for sure! The new build is rediculous, all of the jumps have been reshaped, tons of new rails are in... Come and see for yaself!

God damnit why do I have to work tomorrow? I really want to see/hit this jump...

Cochorane's does sound tempting though.... I mean, they have a race course and from what I've been told racing's kiiiiiind of the shit these days...

Dumbass...

So, the park this year is over 9000 times better than last year. The rails are amazing and so are the jumps. The step up is soooooo much fun. I love it.

new:

they took out the first jump and put in the rainbow box and up flat down bar

reshaped jumps (2 medium instead of the 3 small ones)

after those jumps, flat rail raised up on a table with a wall ride on both sides in the snow pile that the rail is on.

55' step up with 30+ option

where the down pipe is, a small flat box with a drop and the new single barrel

moved the sawhorse bonk more to the center after the flat pipe and bonk options

2 down bars and the dfd are now in as well in the lower section

nothing was removed, all of those are additions.

took a couple runs but mostly stuck to the woods all day. the jumps are actually really well shaped. everything looks so much better than last year finally.

Holy awesome park. The step up is the most fun jump to spin, so floaty. I will definitely be throwing down on that. Really want to hit the 55 too. The only complaints I have is the dfd has absolutely no lip onto it, and the flat box is getting kind of low to the ground. Other than that, the park is so much fun.

okay main event jump is 40 feet, not 55....
secondly, its an awesome jump. reaal fun.
got one shot on it before i was a dumb-dumb and grabbed myself a concussion.

lets try that again....

ad yeah, i think it was just for the "shoot". can't really call it that.
i think the issue is grooming the landing. needs a winch cat or something.

they changed up the last jump again so its able to be hit by basically anyone. now it is one take off and it probably a 30ish table with good pop. it is still basically a stepup/stepover

other than that, no new changes from the last time i was there this week.

You just mad cuz you foot got crushed like a bag of chips. I do wish they left it though, I want bigger.

ill admit the ride up the lip is ridiculous but its a smooth jump as long as your speed is right. knuckled yesterday on my second to last run and then got snaked when i went for it on my last run. sucked.

and what'd you do to your foot milksteak? break it on the knuckle?

Ya I cased. I broke it a while back and it just never healed, so every once in a while, if I hit it wrong, it kinda re-breaks. There's a little piece of bone floating around in my foot, it's usually settled to where it should be but sometimes it comes back out and lodges where my foot bends which makes it so...I can't bend it. Hurts like a mother fucker but it goes back into place after a couple days.

I hope that makes sense, I'm tired.

i think it is really hard to get the speed right. i thought i was fine but then got destroyed overshooting it and landing practically at the bottom. it hurt so bad. i had enough time to contemplate how much the all was going to hurt after coming around 360 and then landed 450 on my ass. god that hurt

i found that stopping right after the landing of the second jump was a good distance. i would carve a couple turns but no real speed checks and i was clearing it fine. the one time i knuckled was when i hit every jump in a row and thought i was going too fast.

ill probably start trying slow 180s off it the next day im up there. trying to get more comfortable with switch landings because i used to do switch 3s and 5s two years ago but now when i try them ive got a weird mental block.

yeah i had hit it three time already. then i pretty much straightlined it from the knuckle of the other jump. speed is weird going into it though. i always feel like i am going too fast

So Dan. What's the prognosis? Well, at least a prognosis more detailed than "oficially, not good"...

No footy. He was just doing a blind swap on the down tube and caught his edge coming off at the end. Out of all the dumb things Dan tried on Saturday, he got hurt on something easy.

Haha seriously. That frontflip attempt was the most absurd thing I have ever witnessed on skis. He just threw himself straight into the ground, then rolled over the knuckle. Hahaha

Also, I'm gonna be up there a ton next week, staying at someones house that's like 5 minutes from Sugarbush. It's gonna be fun...
