So after destroying my rossis, i'm in the market for new cheap sticks, and came upon these skis. Problem is that I cant seem to find any legit reviews on them. so if anyone out there knows some stuff that would be great.

Are these stiff or soft?

how do they perform on bumps, groomers, park, crud, pow etc?

durability?

any general thoughts would be appreciated

also is the 180cm long enough? im 6 foot 4, 230lbs, and ski fast and hard. 50/50 park and all mountain (IE. ripping groomers, dropping mid sized cliffs, bumpz, treez, you get it)

Surface skis are absolute garbage. I know three people that have broken them this season. One of which just took an awkward fall and bent the ski in half and ripped out the heel piece.

My suggestion is look at something from last year. I picked up a pair of Line Chronics for 350 from last year.

Also I know they are not the coolest ski around but the Dynastar 6th Sense Spins are awesome skis. I would have bought them if not for the deal I got on the Lines. If you want something a little stiffer get the Dynastar 6th Sense Superpipes. Same ski as the spin just a little stiffer. And since you are a bigger guy that is what I would recommend. Also they are 87 underfoot which is a lot more forgiving on rails that the 100 underfoot that Double Times come in at. Also the Dynastars will be cheaper for a better built ski.

Just a quick look evo.com has them for under 400.

You're facts are garbage

There have been problems with No Times and Nine Lifes.

From what I heard, Double Times are pretty amazing, considering getting myself a pair next year.

It's also 90 in the waist, not 100.

Message Theron, he gave me a good review on them.

Lolwat? Doubletimes aren't 100 underfoot. They are 90. Get your facts straight before you go ahead and thrash a ski that you've never skied.

Anyways, The doubletimes are the beefiest and most durable park ski surface has. Stiff in the nose and pretty soft in the tails. Its pretty stiff all around. If you're looking for a do it all whip for cheap, I reccomend the doubletimes. Very solid ski on jumps and aswell on rails. The square tips might get hooky at some times but it shouldn't hinder your skiing on them. Skis really well outside of the park. Lap pow in the morning and ski park in the afternoon. pretty much a very solid do it all ski.

i demoed those skis last weekend and this is what i think of them.

super duper stiff as fuck, too stiff for me

they are pretty good on groomers, crud, pow, all mountain , my hill has a shitty ass little park so don't know about rails but jumps were super stable and nice

durability? i dono

Interested in how people are liking the flex profile, what advantages are you guys noticing with stiff as shit tips and soft tails? When I flexed them in a shop I thought I had them upside down or something, its really different than the classical flex pattern.

Personally, I love it. It definitely is way different than most skis flex patterns where its just one flex tip to tail. It helps you get that extra pop on jumps and onto rails while the soft tail helps you reinforce you in bad landings. Not to mention its still soft enough to where you can pull off sick manuals, tailpresses and stuff like that.

I love mine, Surface makes a good ski. I'm 6 foot ride mine center mount for all conditions. If you're 6 foot 4, 180 might too small for you especially if you go center mount.
Durability is definitely an issue with Surface but in all honestly what ski doesn't break?
Surface warrantied me my pair and I love them. They are light, pop seems pretty good and they are fast as hell.
