Sucks to be in High School

i would take that to the school board so fast. thats rediculius. like those people didnt party in high school. absolute bull, damn hypocrits.
 
the worst part about it is that they want to prevent drunk driving with it....if you want to prevent drunk driving, attack that problem, not underage drinking in general. THey should be viewed as two separate problems

A good example is MADD: when it was founded, it was against, like it's name says, DRUNK DRIVING. Now it's against alcohol consumption in general, which cause its founder to stop supporting it. She wanted to teach kids against drunk driving, not responsible drinking.
 
getting wasted on the weekends was the best part of high school. and it figures that this shit would start in jersey haha
 
That is the worst thing they could do. Making more rules isn't going to stop kids from drinking, the government is retarded.
 
i guess that sucks if you go to that one in particular HS in New Jersey. otherwise no one else is affected.
 
BONER, without drinking there really isn't anything fun in high school. now kids will just smoke a shitload of pot of they get tested less for that. real smart.
 
It says all that's going to happen is the parents will be notified and they will get counseling. Seems like it would be easy to just blow off the counseling and a lot of parents are pretty chill.
 
haha naw i know people who do tho, but i also know people who will go to a party over the weekend, have it get busted then they get suspended from school which is bullshit
 
well it sucks if you attend Pequannock Township High school, but they will probably only do it if you are a bad kid. They're not going to do it if they dont suspect you
 
i dont know how things are in that school but i know for a fact that if they did that at mine there wouldnt be sports teams anymore, so i think im safe.
 
the school already drug test kids. that's bullshit. they go to a public high school. private, maybe, but in a public school that's going too far. it'll create more problems then solutions.
 
as much as alcohol is illegal for teens and as much as drugs are illegal in general its still dumb. So thats the schools job now, to get kids in trouble. Let me ask the supervisors of that school what they did in highschool, fucking people

1. My tax money goes towards public education - school taxes and special assements for my school district are not cheap

2. Why the fuck should drunk/high kids be allowed to go to school

3. Aww no more fun - well kiddo grow up, school is your job, get over it - You want to be treated as an adult - well geuss what sparky, in the real world you show up to work drunk/high you get fired

basically

it would inspire me to get fucked up. cause they can never give you a ticket or anything, cause you cant get an mip cause there is no alcohol technically left in your system, just the remnants of what makes it up!

i think new books and stuff like that is more important than some kids who decide to have some drinks. there are many better things they could do with that money
 
1. Right, this school is funding this program (which costs 20$ a piece) through a federal grant. So the first reason this should not be done is that if it caught on (which it wont) then the government would have to dole out money for each public school to do this sort of thing. Meaning you pay more taxes, thats not real good is it?

2. Come on, "why the fuck should drunk/high kids be allowed to go to school?" Is a retort necessary?

3. "School is your job" well then your job doesnt typically regulate what you do in your off time does it? No one shows up to school drunk, this test determines if kids have had one drink in the last 80 hours. and school regulating what you do in time you are off their property is an invasion of your privacy.
 
or get drunk at school on like Monday afternoon, then you're way safe and they will never suspect you cause you just passed your test!
 
Thats bull shit. Its totally against the constitution. That violates the search & seziure law. Theres not probable cause. there just taking away our freedom a little bit at a time. All the parents say "good, now my child won't drink and drive and kill himself" but they don't realize that freedom is more important. It just pisses me off, shit like this.

I live in New Jersey and Pequannuck is like a minute away. In my school they have a voluntary drug testing program. A girl I know was on it and she obviously doesnt drink because shes like a perfect girl and she came up with like .2% alchohol and she almost got suspended.
 
dude if that was a rule at my highschool i woudlnt even go i would just do internet high school and be able to go ski almost everyday and live my life without some queer ass school behind my shoulder the whole time

It states that their testing for WEEKEND drinking, not drinking AT school, but drinking on the WEEKEND. Completely and utterly different.
 
if my school tried to give me a urine test i would tell them if they want it they can suck it out with their mouth.

they cant make me piss if i dont want to.
 
ouch.. but yea my parents have a breathalizer of which i must use everytime i return home on the weekends. ah it sucks
 
i would just tell them to fuck off theres no rule that says i have to piss in a cup for a fuckin public school
