Subs or Skiing?

So the guys at Visions Electronics talked me into blowing 1500 bucks on a new sound system! Now thats almost a whole season of skiing ! Dunno if it was the right thing to do, but dam it sounds good. Anyone else have this dalema ?
 
ya man i have a head unit and a front pair of speakers, my system is in need of rear speakers, amp, sub, eclosure, and sub amp. i think im ganna spend what money i get on skiing now though, becuase listening to better sounding music doesnt sound as appealing as skiing.
 
are you mental? Get your stereo equipment off kijiji if you must. And you realize its going to get stolen aswell, right?

 
skiing, subs are cool for about 15 minutes, then you realize that better speakers are what you really need
 
I thought at first it said Pubes or Skiing, in which case I would say pubes, because without pubes you can't grow them and then harvest them thus making fur jackets for profit
 
yeaaa thats what im doing.. probably getting the 4 inchers that can be placed in the doors... hopefully not too expensive in the end

yea so spend like 300 max on subs then use the subs for pump up music on the way to skiing
 
Maby I'm weird, but I cant figure out why people like really really loud music.

It's just annoying, especially if other people are in the car.

Are you kidding me?! $1500 to spend on a system? no... that has to be the biggest waste of money I've seen someone talk about on this site. I got a very nice comp Alpine Type R sub in a box with an amp on craigslist for around $180. Took a couple hours to wire it all up (wires $30.) Buy some door speakers off of Sonic Elektronics and install them yourself. $500 for a decent system... not $1500.
 
I was in the same boat, got a cheap good set up, just a speaker box and amp, no head unit or door speaker. I want to skiiii
 
why are you on a site where 97% of kids on this site live for skiing? and your making a decision between a sound system or a season of skiing?
 
why are you asking a ski forum if you should get a new sound system or ski....

thats like asking a priest if you should be hindu or christian
 
it's not supposed to be loud it's supposed to be good. I like good soundsystems where you feel the bass.

I dislike people that think blasting their shitty music on mediocre speakers really loudly makes it good.
 
In my opinion, aftermarket sound systems are retarded and a complete waste of money. The only people that I know who buy them are white kids who are trying to be cool and black guys in shitty cars with 20 inch rims. So, yeah, you made the wrong choice. Hooray for generalizations and stereotypes!
