Sublux and ambush...

On what basis are you saying this. HAve you personally seen either of these companies stuff? If you are judging ambush on their web page, there really is not much there to tell about the "quality" of their product, although i will say their site needs a bit of work. As for sublux, it just switched owners, hired people to design; i.e. its pretty much a whole new company. They have yet to show any of their product, but knowing rom, im sure it will be sick. So how about you just stop throwing out random accusations that you cant back up, ok?
 
well thier sites suck, anyone can get a hanfull of good non-pro skiers to put on a team list. thier designs suck, thier images are horrible, this is my opinion and i think that this is one of the reasons that skiing is lacking so much.

hmm, actually both teams have some pretty damn good riders on them, not that that makes a company better in any way. Subluxes site is really sick,and as it says on the front page, they just changed owners and they not updated the sight with any of the new designs ect...

i am so bitter, I don't even like me. I have really low self esteem and don't know how to fit in. maybe If i wear some ambush clothes I'l fit in and be liked by everyone in my highschool.
 
Don't worry Ambush wont be a company anymore in 2 years. Most of the poorly thought out companies fail, they have no business plan and didn't see that the market is already saturated with other poorly thought out streetwear companies.

I really would like to know, because people knowing all this stuff about us is very frightning. Saturated eh? mmmmmmmmm. i only know of 4 other streetwear companies other than my self in this industry, let alone poorly thought out ones. So lets say half are "poorly thought out" That gives us a what 2"poorly thought out" companies. Last time i checked, 2 companies let alone 4 are not "saturating" an industry.And your also assuming my company is poorly thought out, why, cause i dident "MAKE" my own clothes in my very first attempt to become somthing in the industry?? Go tell that to mike nick, hed surly cockslap your empty head cause guess what? come on, yes, he didnt make his own CLOTHING when he STARTED out either, look were he has come. So i really dont apreciate you making FALSE comments about a company or any company you know nothing about. I understand the "bandwagon" that has ben erected due to "poorly thought out companies" is taking over the site,but come on! Do some research! Give companies the time, the patientce, and the ability to grow. i half agree with it. i wasnt impressed with ambush new site and designs atall... didnt notice anything original. when, for example, i really loved avalaan stuff.

however, i would hold my thought till i see the product itself.

sublux has been around way longer then ambush, im not saying anything about ambush just for the record because their stuff is sick but sublux doesnt just have a good non pro team they have pro guys and a real clothing line and have been here for a while. ambush has a good team as well, just so you know cosco is technically pro for ninthward.

I am all for new companies if they provide quality products, but it appears as if you dont. Assuming you are in middle/high school I can assume you got capital from your parents, and they gave it to you so that you would stop whining to them. I highly doubt you have a professional business plan, did you look at the industry forecast and what market share you going to have? Have you had any econ/business classes. Siver makes good stuff and has the majority market share among the small companies. They aren't making a huge profit, so how do you think you will? If you make a quality product and market the company well then your business could expand, but I dont forsee that happening.

Hello. I am a 17 year old. yes i do attend high school. Ambush clothing ltd. was established as a sole-proprieter ship co-signd by my father,robert. I have done many in depth studies regarding this matter, sir. I have done extensive research on age demographics as well as geological demographics. I did indeed provide the bank, and investors, with a professinol buisness plan that was overseen by a legal team. About market share... It is impossible to tell were exactly i am at in this matter, thus my site has been up and running for 5 days. Im sure you know that a "market share" is based on the total sales of a company divided by the sales of the market your involved in, and i have been involved in this market for 5 days, but this, at the same time, looks good due to the lack of lifestyle clothing companies involved in this industry, which is, far from a stagnent one. So im sorry sir, but you incorect. Again, your an example of an ingnorent person trying to say that my products arnt "quality". Yeah, you know it, sence you have seen them, felt them, wore them. I took business and careers last year and am taking accounting and finace this year.The industry forecast looks good. The older form of skiing is down 17% while freskiing has jumped up to an astonishing 150% from 2003. This market, as i previously established, is NOT stagnent, which is a solid base for a business. Again, STOP with the acusations. Your a joke, stop saying things that you know nothing about.
 
I'm not going to sit here and pound on Ambush's back because it is much to early to do that, but I will provide some constructive criticism.

I really think the major problem with the company is the fact that it's strictly a "streetwear" company. In my opinion, I really don't see a connection between freeskiing and your products. Everything basically says "AMBUSH" on it in different writing stlyes. If I was walking down the street with that one, most people would assume that I'm a Viet Cong or a Chechnin rebel. Now I wasn't trying to make fun of your company name, i'm just saying that i don't see skiing in any of your products. When I wear my Rossignol Scratch hoodie, I represent what I do: Ski (on scratch FS's). People associate that with me. People would never know that an ambush shirt is for freeskiers unless they saw the website. Becasue lets be honost here; why do we buy the clothes we buy? Because they look/feel/fit the way we want clothes to.

Now I don't know what your future plans are once (and IF) you expand, but I would definitely think about designing something like outerwear. I think you need to produce something functional to really make an impact in this industry. Personally I feel that most skiiers like to represent what they ride on the hill. Not just a company that says "this is what skiers like to wear when they aren't skiing"

I really think your goal should be to define what skiers wear when they are shredding in the mountain, lift line, and to school. Good luck man, it's going to be a long road, becuase I think there are a lot of other companies like this going to pop up soon too. The Jersey idea is really cool though.
 
DUde there's 2 band wagons to jump on theres the IM a core rider so Im gonna buy w/e people tell me is core band wagon(i bet atleast 65% of those are big posers. And then theres the Shoot down all the new comanies that are tryin to be core band wagon. Just so you know.

But seriously if I was you tryin to start up this business, I know you have to try and prove and push your product, but seriously I would let everyone battle it out on these kind of forums with out sayin a word. Yes by jumpin in and defending yourself your gettin people that dont know much about your company to take alook, but you wont win your arguements. The people posting are gonna be set in there ways, so dont fight it just listen to what everyone has to say positive and negative and design your product around that. And, know that people wont respond to shitty product.I know your just starting out but you can't just excpect people to go nuts and start throwing shit loads of cash for things screen printed onto some standard shirts and shit, tho some most deffinatly will. LIke Excpect to lose money the first year or so, until you find out what works, (me and my bud are gonna start our own thing and we totally realize we can lose money our first year). And remember just use these forums to help you and no matter how pissed you get about some lil cocksuckers comments dont let it get to you

well, sir, im a kid like the rest of you and i enjoy being involved in these argumaents. I am answering questions. Its as simple as that. And about logic. I am not affiliated with logic in any way, except for being a friend of the owner. I agree with what roy said up to a cirten extent. Outwear has been designd. its a matter of time. We would like to see how this year goes, then we will take it to the next level. Its about time and money, as well as exposure. So help us out and see what happens! thanks!
