Okay I dont want shit for being a wuss, but this is how it goes. I was watching the Skunk Records Tribute to Bradley Nowell last night, and I got all choked up and teary eyed. Then I came down and Watched all of their videos on my comp, and actually started crying a little bit. Sublime was/is one of the best bands ever, and they still had so much potential. I sometimes think what would've happend if Brad didnt die. I know Eric is doing some playing. But I think (correct me if I'm wrong) Bud has pretty much gone to shit. I saw his mugshot from when he was arested for marijuana possesion, and I felt bad for the guy cuz he looked like such shit. Anyone else feel this way?

LBDA is good, but will never compare to Sublime. Bradley added so much to that band. One of my all time favorites. RIP BRADLEY NOWELL

sublime was one of the greatest bands of all time in my opinion. its so good. i really dont like lbda, they cant even compare to sublime. at least theyre trying to continue the legacy. RIP brad

sublime is definity one of the top 7 bands of all time to bad something always has to happen to the good ones. bob marley, elvis, jerry garcia, tupac, biggie, hendrix, just to name a few.

Long beach dub allstars can't even compare to Sublime because Bradly Nowell had such a unique and good voice. Sad he died but maybe he shouldnt have fuckin done heroin!

Top 50 lists are such bullshit. Who the fuck cares what others think about music? (If you do, you have some problems) Anyway, listen to what you like and you decide who is/was great and who isn't. Pretty simple if you ask me.

yeah I agree with you to a certain extent, but the thing about saying they're in the top 50 (or 10) is just denying sooooo many other bands. It's not that they like it, and I don't (I never said I didn't like it either, they're good) it's more a case of them claiming sublime is better than the 50 bands I would have put ahead of them. which is more than a slight difference of opinion.

I totally agree they weren't the greatest musical breakthrough. I love their music, they just made that 'SoCal sound' mainstream. They were no Beatles, Miles Davis, etc.

if you like sublime, check out a band called slightly stoopid. they were good friends with sublime, and you can tell their influence on eachother's music. i am a fan of their acoustic roots cd. it's nothing special, but has that rock/reggae/roots/punk sound. Some good songs are, Wiseman, Fireshot, Couldn't get High, Sensimilla, Castles .

Brad was a musical fucken genius. He could go itno a studio sit for 15 minutes and write a hella good song then just play it. Robin the Hood is all just mostly shit that was jokin in the studio with the recorder on. Who gives a shit about these losers that think the music sucks. Sublime wasnt a band trying o get into a major label spotlight. They played mostly for there friends and in bars around LBC. Theres alota shit out on Skunk right now which is great. California grace by Long Beach Short Bus is fucken awesome. Alot of LBDA is amazing. Badfish has good sutf. And slightly Stoopid is fucken awesome. Kyle the guitarist from Slightly stoopid has an acoustic black market CD you can get by going to skunk.com theninto sublime archieve then into audio then slightly stoopid. its like 6 songs and they are fucken awesome. Anyways fuck the people who say the suck. There just 50 cnet wanksters anyways. Everyone respected Sublime. Nirvana and Sublime were to be the next big thing but since both their lead singers died it never happened. Most likely thats why they neve made the top of some 50 best bands list. They werent around for long. I cant believe some due would say thebeatles was a better band then sublime. Beatles sucked ass. John Lennon was one of the biggest retard hippies in the world and McCartney is an asshole.
