well the 1.8T audis are somewhere around 180-190 hp (all on memory, sorry if it's wrong) the outback is like 160 and a bmw 325xit is about the same as the audi (more if it's a 328) so, as performance goes, bmw wins (mainly because of the handling and quality).

yeah, they are expensive to fix.

As I said above, get one around 30,000 miles and sell it once the warranty runs out.

I just got a 2003 Audi A4 with quattro, this thing is amazing, I would definately recommend it over a subaru. Although I've never driven one of those, Audi's are awesome cars.
