Sub/amp setup help

Looking for something to hit hard, but not rattle the screws out for around 250.

I was looking at alpine type r's but i dont think i can pull that off for under 250.

Any suggestions?

you would get MTX's which are quality and if you buy used you can always get a great deal off craigslist, also kickers are good too but depending on the one you buy, obviously the more you spend the better quality overall, but MTX has my vote
 
There are a variety of powered enclosure systems in the $250-300 range that should hit well. Check out crutchfield.com to get ideas but buy from an outside dealer.
