To me style is very inclusive of the whole self, clothes kinda play a part in it but not the definition. The way you move, adapt to any mishaps in a trick or landing, being able to add your own creative flare. The way your lines flow, consistency with the ability to add surprise when you need to. Confidence: skiing like every trick you throw in your line is your comp safety, but not so confident that you break yourself off throwing something before you're ready.
I don't know how much of the whole "the clothes make the man" applies to the style side of skiing. Maybe not having a gaper gap and jeans on but you catch my drift. It's not so much about the clothes as it is about the impression you leave on others with skill. Tight pants, poles, baggy jackets, goggles over helmet doesn't matter. Style is something you exude from the whole of yourself, not just your clothes.
