Lots of kids buy pro gear/spend a lot of time thinking abt the fashion aspect because they like the way it looks, flavor of the month or not. Not necessarily bcz they're "sheep" or wannabe whatever (though that might be true in some cases) - anyway it's useless to brand kids as sheep or uncritical hero worshippers when the only logical reason for doing that is being a "sheep" to the ideological opposite (the 'UN-gangsta'?). It's romantic and ego-boosting to think you're a special freethinking kind of skiier, totally uncaring about trends, but at a push, NONE of us are that special, we all fetishize fashion, just different kinds. And the fact you're angry about a fashion trend means it's likely you think more about the trend than the kids that go out and buy the stuff.

as far as I see it-

a low centre of gravity helps rails and most tricks a shit load (gangsta steeze)

Uh I have a white Orage Parasuit, I got it cuz 1. a jacket and pants from Jibij would have been more expensive. 2. Its warmer. 3.Its really baggy and the most comfortable thing I have ever touched. But yeah neon poles are cool, but the neon one piece is getting a lil plaid out.
