STYLE THEMES! what do U dig?

OI,

Style seems to be ruling the park and over the few years it has developed to a very important theme for us skiers (who rip).

Well, I was wondering what style THEMES there are? I mean except the baggy, doo rag style...

I am seeing alot of neon outfits, touching upon the 80's. (Sick;) then, Völkl is taking up the Ninja Style on skis again. Is that cool?

what other themes are there that you dig?

well...theres the emo look which i am against but whatever.

and then im into the sorta baggy clothes and mad bright neon colors. i dont wear a lot of the trendy shit like tall tees and condom hats, but i do sometimes.
 
hey. i thoroughly recommend you check out my new ski range coming out next year. theres a few pieces in a thread if you search "new ski range". it sort of focuses on leather which is gonna be huge next season.

for example:

rastafarian

indian/india style

maya

graffitti art

anime

war

hippie style

etc.
 
I am designing a ski pole and am looking for a theme that will take up the graphics.

i really like the neon thing, cause its flashy and the poles are well visible.

i am also thinking about making a pole based on a samurai sword. grip and blade...

gimme ideas Guys. you are the ones who will use the slopestyle poles!!!
 
I'm thinking of trying out the middle eastern terrorist style. Full towel head and face wrap, and some long fucking sarong or whatever the fuck those dudes wear. Everyone wears a bandana around their face these days, why not be real man and wrap a sheet not only around your face but your head as well. You won't even have to wear a hat.
 
I'm going to go ahead and say don't do the ninja thing. That just sounds corny as fuck.

And I'd also like to say that the whole coming into a thread like this and saying that "you shouldn't worry about what other people are doing, just do it for yourself..." is fucking stupid. Number 1, that's obvious, but Number 2, whoever made the thread probably is interested in what they're asking, so your cool little stand against conformity or whatever is pointless. And it makes you sound pretty trite.
 
If you do ANYthing having to do with anime I will hunt you down and stick one of your poles through your heart
 
yea trite - or cliched, pedestrian, corny, ect. I just think that we've heard enough of that righteous 'do style for yourself' sentiment on this site, and it clogs up thread that aren't asking for moral guidance.

well, im actually not intersted in that you guys do what feels right to you, because thats normal and always the same.

i can see it in the park. you are all wearing the same stuff and doing what everyone else is doing...

right now it is tweaked out truck driver!

i want to know what THEMES are cool to you. see top... do you want poles in EMO style? no, right. but what about poles with indian patterns on them? personally i think that indian god motives are pretty sick..

or would you rather have a graffiti tag on the product?

gimme all those whack ideas you have! they can be stupid, but they have to be POSITIVE and CONSTRUCTIVE.

i like to be kind of baggy, not pants off my ass baggy but baggy. i do like the neon clothes but im not about to go wear it. you have to be steezy as hell to pull off the neon
 
for poles, i would like the rasta color theme if you could make it look good, and maybe graffiti theme
 
man im tellin you. themed poles arnt that cool. make one with a fuckin ipod remote in the grip.

as for my style: i tend to stay out of the real trendy shit, cause its lame a season later. same with my skiing. i just do my thing, and dont jump on the bandwagon of truckdrivers, octograbs, shit like that. i like timelessly cool shit, that always looks good.
