Style or Tech...

Oookay very important question that everyone asks but always worth asking again... whats better/more entertaining, some super smooth lip on blind 2's with afterbang or 6 on pretz 810 out of the smallest rail in the park... Also what should come first when progressing, style then technicality or tech then style? And lastly, jumps or rails.
 
this is officially the 2nd most annoying "debate" to me in skiing.

people say tech or style. Fuck that, you either don't understand that style is subjective and even Nicky g has it in his own chill robot way or you don't understand how technically difficult a nose manny lipslide to late blind switch up to fakie is.

Tricks aren't divided into two categories and if they were it sure as hell wouldn't be style or tech. At best it'd be air or jib but anyone with more than a day on snow would be smart enough to realize that's patently false as well.

The question Clearly asks what is more entertaining to people and peoples own opinions... there is no doubt that "steezey' tricks are just as hard in their own respect.

my response wasn't an attack on you my friend. your defensiveness has you missing the point.

Every trick is steey if you are steezy. You Also said "better /more entertaining. I addressed the better segment of that by rejecting the concept that style and tech are mutually exclusive. They are not.

As for more entertaining that's strictly an opinion and never a debate but to answer you - I'd rather see Zam Matchett do a front 2 out. That's my opinion.

Enjoy skiing and quit arguing and bitching about style vs tech. I feel like people shit on triples just cuz they cant do em. I do still fully enjoy style, and have nothing against lip on blind 2s, or afterbang. The argument that someone shouldn't try a quad because its bad for the sport is a dumb idea, and people should be free to do what they want. Its freeskiing after all, right?

There is nothing wrong with anyone's style. The only problem in all of skiing is people hating on other people's own way of skiing. Tech, perfect. Style, perfect. Style and tech, perfect.
