Style is timeless

Think about it. You can go back and watch old brogan edits and they will be just as dope as the season they came out. Watch X games runs from the same year and they are no longer impressive because more and more people can throw that same trick, and do it cleaner.

style is forever.

good point for sure, but kind of silly that youre talking about "back in the day brogan". royalty...all that needs to be said. its epic that iberg and the inspired guys are dumping all those old flicks out for sure. i just spent 20 minutes watching some 3 phils action and pollard shredding the park like crazy.

yea thats what I'm saying. I just couldn't think of a great example of the top of my head when I made the thread. Doesn't matter how far back you go, the skiing will still be sick.

Its just funny how much you style guys like to complain about competitions. Believe me, Id rather watch Eric Pollard do a 180 than watch gus throw a tripple rodeo, but you gotta admit that its still pretty bad ass to actually be able to do these kinds of tricks, and Competition is deffinately the place for that. I mean, if the x games was about style, would anyone watch it? no, that would suck. You would just see the same stuff from the movies, but with shittier cinematography, and a stupid commentary. Why would anyone waste time on that when they could just go watch the same thing with some sweet camera angles, perfect lighting, better features, and good music. And also, who the hell cares if the film guys dont make as much money? people seem to love to complain about this, but apart from Spriggs I never hear the pros themselves really complain about this. Why? its not about the money, its about the skiing. They get to spend their lives doing what they love, and that is payment enough. If all they wanted was money, they would all just become doctors and lawyers. Everyone loves to talk about how much better style is than competition future spin shit, but the fact is, at the end of the day, both have their place in this industry, and niether one really hurts the other. Please just stop bitching.

No I totally agree with you. I like competition, skiing, I ski in comps myself. My point is simply that the style will last forever while the tricks in competitions will get bigger and bigger.

I AM GOING TO TALK IN ALL CAPS LIKE T HALL SO EVERYONE HEARS ME, AND I AM GOING TO SAY THIS OVER AND OVER. AUSTIN TORVINEN HAS THE BEST STYLE EVER. EVERY TRICK HE DOES LOOKS SO RADICAL. HE LIKE DOESN'T EVEN JUMP OFF THE RAIL, AND HE DOES THIS COOL THING WHERE HE LOOKS WHERE HE IS SPINNING BEFORE HE STARTS TO SPIN. HARLAUT AND CASABON CAN NEVER TOUCH HIM, HE LOOKS SO MUCH RADDER THAN THEY DO, AND HE DOESN'T EVEN DO WEIRD AFFECTED SHIT.

TORVINEN IS NUMBER ONE. BROGAN IS NUMBER TWO. Then maybe matt walker and tom wallisch then everyone else.

Muddy WinterWhich way to ze autobahn?

Candide's Pipe runs

Jossi in Revolver

B Dog in Eye Trip

Pep Fujas 1242 with the biggest 1s ever

All I have to say is: Dave Chricton. Most timeless shit ever. If his segs dropped today people would still shit themselves.

I agree. I love watching dudes with style and originality ski much more than watching comps.

That being said, some comp guys still have style. Personally I think Gus has one the best styles in skiing.

have to agree, I like seeing people with alot of style because its what separates you from others doing the same trick. its like your own signature. we each have our own style.
