Style in Comps

I have noticed that style doesn't seem very important in comps. It seems that judges give a higher score to someone that does a spin to win trick that was barely landed and that has no style than to someone who doesn't spin as much but is graceful in the air and lands smoothly. I would like to see more attention to style in comps. Reply and tell me what you think.

I agree! However, it's hard to judge style & give someone more points because of style when the other guys trick difficulty is wayyyyyy higher with less style

In all seriousness, how much does style actually play a factor in comps? I don't really understand how comps are judged exactly and I'm just curious.

Does it only play a factor when two runs are really similar or does it actually make a big difference in someones score? Someone care to enlighten me? ..because after seeing thread after tread on this, it seems like a lot of people are just as confused on how this works.
