It fell on him to represent newschool skiing to both the mainstream audience and the old guard of the ski industry. I think he found a great balance between being steezy af and yet still presentable enough to the traditional skiing community that they let their kids follow his lead into the park and the streets. Guys like Henrik get to take their style out into left field because guys like Tom kept it closer to center.
14245331:270on420out said:Agreed, I’m not hating on Tom at all for doing so. At the end of the day I think it’s an apples to oranges comparison. Tom was a prominent superunkown winner turned 4bi9 legend and eventually evolved into a competition dominator. He was an Olympic contender before his tragic ACL tear. He spent his prime years during a period of time which could arguably be called the golden years of competition skiing. Henrik is 4 years younger and was the legendary breakout star grom from Sweden and although he has multiple X-games medals under his belt (which is just a testament to how good he is), he has always been less competition based than Tom.

But on top of this - I really like the ez_panda guys style and how it’s obviously from Henrik with its own flavor
