Style: Henrik or Tom?

OG Tom was the style god.

Now he kinda dresses like my dad. I know the Resurrection edit was a bit of a parody, but I actually liked his kit a lot more in that then what he normally wears now (I.e jackets & pants that actually fit)

This is a tough one, but I've seen too many landings from tom that look like he never left the ground for him not to be the goat

I haven’t been a fan of Henrick’s style. While I have an appreciation for it. I just don’t get down with the new wave. I say that with no hate in my heart towards it. Tom’s OG 4bi9 heavy hitting after banging straight gangster shit just gets me fired up.

Tom is definitely the foundation for all current freestyle skiing, so henrik’s style is 100% built on the foundation that he laid

huh, Henrik new wave? I think you're confusing Henrik with someone else my dude.

Tom: The definition of a skier with "finesse"

Dollo: Watching Henrik makes you want to cop a 4xl jordan hoodie ride skis that are 4inches taller then you and listen gucci mane on repeat

Tom has amazingly smooth style. Like fuck he literally makes landings look stupid easy. Henrik gets me hyped because he’s kind of more of an active style - like it looks like he’s doing more - whereas Tom is just so smooth. (Don’t know if I described this how I meant)

But on top of this - I really like the ez_panda guys style and how it’s obviously from Henrik with its own flavor

watch the blackout movie, street segments pretty much same as the bunch, just baggier and 10 years ago

Wallisch back in the day was untouchable. I hate to say it but although he is still an amazing skier, his style has been kinda generic since he made it big. Henrik is probably the most well rounded park skier alive right now. He can do literally anything he wants on skis and make it look perfect.

He's influential as fuck, but 'the foundation for all current freestyle skiing' is a little much.

In my head Tom is what a textbook park skier should aim to look like and henrik is a grimy, baggier version of that style

this is straight facts and I wish more people realized it

wallisch. no one will ever touch his landings. I first saw this edit when I was pretty young and I could not even comprehend the both way 2p6 ender.

Watching old edits of Tom shows he’s the goat, no doubt, mans soo smooth and stylish and I think a lot of this new gen have been influenced by him and he afterbang

Henrik is like literally as wide as he is tall his style is like yeah I get you can grab the nose of your ski from a standing position you are 4 feet tall

I watch this and ambitionz of a ridah at the start of every season to put myself in check

Given the way he became the leader and the spokesperson for the movement, it kinda had to be that way. It fell on him to represent newschool skiing to both the mainstream audience and the old guard of the ski industry. I think he found a great balance between being steezy af and yet still presentable enough to the traditional skiing community that they let their kids follow his lead into the park and the streets. Guys like Henrik get to take their style out into left field because guys like Tom kept it closer to center.

Agreed, I’m not hating on Tom at all for doing so. At the end of the day I think it’s an apples to oranges comparison. Tom was a prominent superunkown winner turned 4bi9 legend and eventually evolved into a competition dominator. He was an Olympic contender before his tragic ACL tear. He spent his prime years during a period of time which could arguably be called the golden years of competition skiing. Henrik is 4 years younger and was the legendary breakout star grom from Sweden and although he has multiple X-games medals under his belt (which is just a testament to how good he is), he has always been less competition based than Tom.

Yeah I hear you on the ACL tear, I can imagine how different things would be if Tom had medaled that first Olympic slopestyle.

Tom's style is more lazy, Henrik's is more flowy. I prefer Henrik's but nobody does it like Tom either

I somewhat agree, Tom is incredibly clean without much movement whereas Henrik has a rough, heavy style where every movement has a purpose
