if the comp happned, itd have to have really wierd, versatile, different stuff to jib and jump off of.. just to keep people mixing it up and what not..

i think people that dont have big, big names also could do well in the comp.

 
yeah that would be really good. kinda like horse. they all are given a run with the same trick and the most stylish wins that round. points are givin for 1st, 2nd, 3rd places for each round and the person with the most points in the end wins.

it seems like this stage of life for a lot of people around our age is like when you are playing a video game and you beat the Final Boss, only to find out that it was just a decoy Final Boss and the real Final Boss is ten times stronger. and you used all of your life and special powers on the decoy.
 
pollard would maybe compete too seeing he is competeing in the icer air and k2 comp. a comp based soley on style and creativity would definitally be up pollards ally

don't you think that would be incredibly boring if everyone had to do the same trick? and theres really no other way to have a comp based solely on style because that would leave no reason to do any tricks at all besides straight airs. all comps are judged on a blend of style, creativity, and technicality, which is the only real way i see to do it.

 
yeah like a big air comp. that mixes shit up a lot...switch 10 in a blue suit, switch 10 in a red suit, sw 10 in a red and blue suit, sw 10 in a black suit...

haha tahts funny whoever said tanner doesnt have style anymore....but yeah its way too hard to have a comp like that because its all opinion. Some like tanners no grab steeze, some like gagniers overtweaks, and others like pollards safetys, no way to really judge

After watching wski106 again whenever tanner does big tricks he flails too much I'm not saying that its bad because the tricks are really hard i think that pollard definetly has the best style he doesn't huck everything and he stays composed in the air

just have like 2 jump tricks and a rail trick, like u have to do like a cork 5 on the first jump, and a switch cork 7 on the second jump, and u get 2 or 3 runs to do it with the most style, then after that have like a flat down rail and like the trick is a bs switchup 270 out, and whoever does it the best wins that or whatever

Jon Olsson Invitational was like this, best 1, 3, 5 and 7.

What made it not boring was that they could decide what kind of trick themselves, i.e. cork/d-spin/switch etc..

I think it's a really cool way to do a big air competition.

Thats what I thought. Also, the Orage Masters is pretty style based and the Candide Invitational also focuses pretty heavy on style.

 
haha yea yea...birds we have talked abotu this...i think it would be sick to have like a jam session type thing...like no pressure to do "the steeziest" on only three runs....i woudl say have a rail deal too...and i would think favre with his 7's and 5's would eb up there

this is impossible. Everyone has their own style and every person likes a cirten style. So it would be hard to pinpoint a particular skier as being the most stylish. since every ones views on style varies.

simply have a big air contest with switch 10s, or like a regular one, then right after have a 30 or 40 minute jam session and the judges choose whoever had the nicest steeze on a trick, sure it owuld be hard, who cares.. if everyone was throwing cork 5s and switch 5s, i dont think the competitors would care who would win, neither the people watching it.

Snowboarding does it with the Air and Style comps. There's a qualifier every year in Calgary. I think they let skiers in sometimes.
