Stupidest questions you've been asked on the hill.

Some southern, obese lady asked me the other day "what species are the pretty red trees?" Mam, those are victims of the pine beetle. They are dead.

Ive been skiing in the SLC area for a week and all the gapers want to hear my life story. "Why are you here and where are you from" And "Are you Mormon?" (Because my mom grew up in the SLC area. That doesn't mean i'm or my mom are Mormon.)

i have a big SARAH sticker on the front of my helmet in memory of sarah burke, anyways tons of people ask me if my name is sarah. haha

hehe. thats everyday in breckenridge. ive seen people forget their pants, wear the ski boots on the wrong foot, and dumbest questions involve altitude- like "im inside getting my kids out of the altitude.' is the best quote

"Why dont they ever let us ride down the chairlift?"

"Why do you have your pow skis out, there's no new snow?" (line blends)

"what are the brakes on skis for anyway?"

"why are your goggles different color than mine?"

"Do I need a lift ticket if I walk up every time?"

Had this same thing happen to me spring 2013... Giants Ridge in northern Minnesota, did a 3 off this beautiful jump (landing was mellow, really floaty too, rare in MN), but anyways...

when I got to the chair, this dude came up to me and asked "Did you just 360?"

I said "yeah"

then he says "I didn't know skiers could 360, I thought only snowboarders could to that!"

and i'm just sitting there like

What's wrong with that plenty of places rent jackets. You guys are all acting very cocky I have been asked some stupid things by ns skiers. One that always makes me laugh is when I fit a boot, they say I need a size bigger I'm doing park so you wear bigger boots. That is a good one. Tourists can be funny but I let them off more as they maybe ski once a year so don't know any better.

*Backstory to my story*

so these snowboarders were wearing XXL tall hoodies, had apx goggles, were about 22ish and just looked the part when it came to park anyways.

more of a statement, but i was skiing by myself and these gaper (thug) snowboarders were behind me and were like "woah, that kid has powder skis" then i replied "no, these are only 91 underfoot and are full chamber" to that they responded yeah i have no clue what that means. Seriously why the fuck do people buy all this shit to do with outerwear when they know nothing about the sport, and its not even skiing specific. Fuck australia gapers!

Word, just curious. Always good to have some diversity.

i've heard "what elevation do deer turn to elk"

and on the topic of rails "those things that snowboarders use?"

doing a seven and overhear midair, "WOAH cool he did a 360" and this kids friend responds "NO man that was TWO 360's"!! it was funny and proceeded to losing it midair and crashing.

But my friends the other day were riding up on a chairlift with this lady and she asked where they were from. the first one said in chinkinese "we aaa from J-pan! We aaa Japan-ese!"

the lady was asian

I get asked which way ill be turning off the lift a lot...its like whereever the fuck i want you old cunt
