My stupid shop mounted my 04 scratch fs's like at the standard mount spot after i repeatedly told them about 3 different people that i want true center. Can i do anything about this, or should i just put up with the bunk ass extra holes in my skis?
 
i did, he was like, all i'm going to do is plug them... you can drill a ski up to four times. i wanted to punch him in the face. It's not like they'll give me a free fucking ski. stupid *******.
 
man thats what my fujis looked like last season!! Any chance you got them mounted by the DBs at wilmot mountain?
 
ski something super gnar and when ur ski breaks and u die, your family can be mad rich
 
man he's giving me the install for free and $40 bucks off my bindings that i bought from him, but it's like regaurdless i dont want this ski with all these holes in it. thats 16 holes in each ski!!!!!!
 
ok dude go to umm and tell you just fucked up my skis after i specifical stated i want TRUE C C C C CENTER stupid and tell them theyre gunna replace your skis
 
that happened to me i asked for center and they mounted cab forward which is no biggy but they offered to give me a new pair or take 100 bucks off the pair that i already had
 
well they definitally cant give you new skis if they had already been drilled 2 tiems before they fucked up. i think that free remount and 40 off the bindings you bought is a pretty decent deal for that situation

and yes, feel grateful you thread starter fucker. yours arent as bad as mine. i look for positives, like the fact the tips are very flexy, and the fact that i can still actually ski them. just deal with it stop being like "what im supposed to care". oh man you're so hard. i was just trying to show you that A: you can still have fun on them B: it could be worse
 
yeah, definite learning lesson. really pissed me off. i should have waited to talk directly to the tech. i did a lot of things wrong here in this situation. the skis are 04 rossi scratch fs which i bought this year for 260, from a different shop. he said if i would have bought from him he would have given me new skis. punk ass dude fuckin' up my skis. this shit just aint right. i feel stolen from.
 
i had the same problem with my 04 scratch's. but the guy gave my free waxing for a year. man was i pissed. i said if the holes were noticible, id fuckin want a new pair of skis.but free waxing is stupid cuz i wax my own.
 
yeah i didnt really care that much at the time. he said he could re mount and he misundertsood what the other tech said when he wrote "CM" or something on it instead of just "centermount", but the remount would leave holes and i was like i dont care i really need these as soon as possible because im going sking so i just took em. that season i became a ski tech at my local hill and vowed never to fuck up anyones shit like that guy did to me.
 
You should have either spoken to the tech or drawn your own line on the ski. I work in a hop and the softgoods staff who take in skis for mounts and tuning generally don't know shit about anything. If a shop fucks up your skis completely (drills right through or something), they have to replace them for you. A bad mount is generally something that they'll just put right for you (remount). There is a guy in my shop that fucks up about half of his mounts actually - a lot of customers get skis with plugged holes without even realising. If it's a big shop, bitch at them and try to get a new pair, but they'll probably just pass the blame to whoever took the work order so maybe not. My shop is pretty small and I know for sure that my boss wouldn't do shit if a customer complained about something like this.
