They end up dead or missing things. Some kids skied of the backside of killy today and still havent been found it was -10 at the base and colder at the top, chances are they are dead.

the problem is that people don't think about things before they do them, i know that happened at killy last year too. I have skiied of the backside of killy and it was sick, but i would never have done it if i wasn't with a local. I know that parts of the backside go right down to a road so hopefully they'll find that

Yea thats were they where going. Some kid asked one of the guys that works in the park where it was. The guy in the park siad he didnt know and no to go there. The kid who asked didnt go but his firends did and one of them was in a long sleve shirt and it was fucking cold out today.

Yea, i ski outta bounds all the time, only place to find powder on the east coast. but you have to know your way around. i only do it on my home mountain unless i'm with a local on another mountain

ya outa bounds is sketchy unless u know where u are goin, or that it leads to a road. we went out of bounds last year, but everything comes out on the highway, so we were fine

skiing the back side of killington isnt to bad if you know where you are going (iv done it a shit load of times) if u ski straight down from around coopers you end up on whelerville road wich is way down route 4 from killington twords rutland chances are the kids probly did make it to coopers but when the were leaving insted of going buck up the sorta flat up hill 'trail' they were to lazzy and skied kinda down a bit but once you go down about 500 to 1000 feet from coopers the boardering trail west glade (north ridge or what ever the fuck the renamed it) bends back into the ski area at this poin the only way to get back if through alot of scrubby treas and uphill which the probly didnt do insted they just kept probly goin down for what ever reason. posibly because below coopers there are a bunch of faily open feils and from them you can see pico and the trail that was made conecting pico and killington for snowmaking and cats the probly tried to get to this trail and there fore ened up helplessly stranded somewhnere behind snowdon moutain. This is my therory even though its a long shot. but i do not recomend skiing the back side of killington from coopers to whelervilleroad because its farly ez to miss teh road and i sertainly dont recomend skiing in any woods off of juggarnaught where the majority of people at killington get lost

Well obviously they haven't been accounted for. There car is probably still in the parking lot which leads people to realize they got lost on the mountain. Get a fuckin clue you dope, you make it seem like people who are proffessionals at this shit have no idea what they are talking about. 1080bio my ponit of this was maybe to try and make people THINK a bit more next time they think they know what they are doing. Getting your self lost is easy, dosent matter how well you think you know the area. Dieing or loseing shit becuse you want to take a run down the back side of a mt isnt worth it in my book. I made this to try and make people understand that resorts tell you not to go places for a reson.

i have a shitload of fun skiing offbounds. you can go from the summit down the backside of sugarbush and get to my house. it's the funnest to do. but you have to be really careful.

you can ski out of bounds, but people take thier in bounds attitude ot the bc. when your out there, its just you and your buddy or two ( you better have a buddy). in europe, people realize you are resposable for yourself. lets take a hint here, and figure out that if you go into the bc you need to know what your doing. there are plenty of stupid accidents that get reported about people doing stupid stuff and getting killed in the bc

binding destruction count: 3 so far this season, one pair of lines and two pairs of rossis: what will be next?

At least one crew of kids ends up dead between the backcountry of Alpine Meadows and Sugarbowl in Tahoe every year but it's the lifestyle. People die for all kinds of shit and skiing is definitely one of them. Go big or go home. I broke my back out of bounds at Mammoth two years ago and I still drop the tressle gap at donner lake ASI mutha fuckas. Axe somebody.

irrelevant information. there are so many people on this site with multiple accounts everyone should stop worrying about petty stuff like post count and read the content that is written. it's like judging a book by it's cover.

That'd make sense if they were lost n' high and shit.

Seriously though: Make sure you know the terrain, where you're planning on going, and where the nearest exit point is. Should also have the basic backcountry equipment.

east coast is notorious for loosing kids out of bounds, like 5 people a year are lost in the back bowls of Royal mountain.

they started a fire to keep warm and there wasnt much wrong with them. And when i heard this i was thinking it was kids around 14, well it was college students. im sure they have a large bill to be paying also.
