Stupid bruised toenail

from soccer and summer skiing my toenail on both feet have become bruised. mainly my right. it has a purple blackish color near the base and around in spots. what should i do? it hurts to push down on it and its not to the point that it would fall of.

if its not the whole toenail, just try and deal with it for now til it grows back out. same thing happened to me during ski season. it sucked cause every time i landed something slightly backseat my toe killed for the rest of the day, but its finally grown out and the crap from underneath is gone. i was back in ski boots today skiing on carpet and it felt fine. its just a matter of time pretty much.

 
i was thinking of either keeping it till it grows out or drilling a small hole into the toenail and letting the blood drain out? not sure if thats a good or bad idea

same shit happened to me too, i got a surgery actually. and after about 9-10 days it was all fine again. not any big surgery either.

somehow it broke in half when he drilled it and left a piece in. and then skin grew over it and it came back to haunt him
