Stupid boot problems

Alright, I was hitting my summer setup today, like normal, when I once again realized, as I did everyday I was skiing, that something was wrong. So I decided to come to gear talk once again for some help. You see, both the rossignal blasts (winter boots) and Technica kids agents (Boots I was using today) are very uncomfortable to do nearly anything in. You see, I have enough room in the top of both to fit my entire hand in without much effort when they are fully buckled as much as they can, and when I lean back to do a tail press or something in them, both the back of my calves and my ankles especially start to hurt like they are being over-extended. Also, I can easily lift my heel out of the bottom of the boot, almost to the point of being able to take it out if it wasn't buckled tightly. Speaking of which, the Technica's are very hard to buckle, and when I lean forward to do a standing press, or any press for that matter, the front of my calves where all of the pressure is being put starts to hurt, and sometimes felt my leg was going to break at the boot line (Over-exageration, I know, but it is uncomfortable and gets in the way of my skiing). Anyway, 10/10 to anyone suggesting what the problem might be and what might be causing it. Thanks

The only piece of advice you need is to go see a boot fitter. Half the kids on this site have no idea what their talking about, a boot fitter can give you actuall advice and help fix the problem that your having. Kids on this site are just going to post things like "get full tilts".

I don't live near a bootfitter though. And I don't think that they're to big for me, because the actual length of them feels fine

Bird legs like me. Get a booster strap and crank that shit all the way as tight as you can and/or take an old foam camping mat and cut small wedges out of it to stick in there.

Boot fitter no matter how far it is.. i like to drive 2 hours to get to a bootfitter i like.. Trust me once ur foot is as comfortable in ur boots as your ur daily shoes .. u will ski much better no matter ur skill level

I don't understand why people even buy boots without seeing a boot fitter. There is more to a boot size than length.

Boots are one thing that are worth putting a decent amount of money down for.

Find the closest good bootfitter to you, yes you may have to drive a few hours, but its worth it.

your boots can be too wide, too tall or your heel may not be tight enough in the boot, even if then length is right.

Yeah, I know that now, but three and a half years ago, when I bought the blasts, I was just getting into freeskiing, and then I broke them this year and my brother let me borrow his technica. Thanks for the help though, +K

This, My boots just fit, but when they packed out, they were too big. For the 3/4'th of the season, I was getting ridiculously bad shinbang usually around lunch time, I would end up cruising green runs for the afternoon cus my feet hurt so bad and i couldn't flex my boot while turning. When I would ski park it was worse and didn't take as long to start hurting. I tried like 5 different things to make them work and they kinda worked, if i get shinbang once this season, i'm getting new boots.

There's a difference between chicken legs and using your brother's old boots which are probably way too big for you and packed out to his leg/foot. No wonder you're in pain, you're probably in both categories.
Get thee to a boot fitter. The sooner the better, nothing worse than finding out on the first couple of days skiing that your boots are terrible. If you get some now you'll be able to wear them around the house, let the liners pack out a bit just from the heat of your legs and find any 'hot spots' on your feet. Plus you can get stoked on winter by sticking your boots on and reading the long-range weather forecasts.

ive got the same problem with my fucking retarded boots. they dont fit and thats why. im gettin new boots this season.

it sounds like your boots are too big. check out the sticky forum at the top of the page and do a shell fit on yourself. report back your findings.
