Just because there cooler and better at life than you doesn't mean you have to hate them. Get over it, most skiers have never even heard of State Of Mind and you're trying to call out snowboarders for it. Sorrryyy, but gonna have to say you're the asshole in this situation.
 
well i doubt it's intentional. one reason being...how many snowboarders watch ski movies? and another being that FODT has their names be names from hip hop songs, Moment of Truth (Gangstarr), One Love(Nas), State of Mind(Nas, it's actually NY State of Mind though).

And skiing's recent resurgence owes pretty much everything it's about to snowboarding, skateboarding, and the hard work of a few dedicated skiers. So don't worry, we've stolen tons.

Ultamatums going well thanks we are selling into about 10 motor cycle stores a couple of surf store and a few ski/snowboard shops, and soon we will start selling in north america, MFM is a sick rider and so are most of the tech 9 crew but 90% of them are wiggers, And this whole thread is about originality thats all , I just really liked state of mind and I remember buying it From TMC in whistler when I was 12 years old , that and the 1st issue of freeze with the dirty dozen was one of the reasons I got into freestyle skiing, So i dont like the fact that they ripped of the name of one of the most revolutionary ski movies of all time..

Settle down champo. Its a common phrase and no one (definatly not a skiing movie) has rights to it. Originality is a complete falacy, probablity states that nothing you or any of us have ever thought was truly original.
 
exactly...snowboarders don't watch ski movies because most ski movies suck. we watch snowboard movies because they're better. i'm sure none of the FODT riders have seen the pbp movie they "ripped off."
 
I dont think thats true at all. I hear that all the time, how snowboarding saved skiing. How without snowboarding skiing may no longer be here and to me it kaes no sence. Snowboarding had a major effect on the snow sports industry but on a whole it did little else. The only real thing that skiing got from boarding was parabolic technology. With twin tips and freestyle gaing popularity and ski sales on a whole have been on a steady increase over the last 10 or so years, which is the soposed time that skiing was saved by boarding

There movies are alot better then anyother ski movie i have seen, and im sure they have never seen nor heard of that ski movie. They dont need to copy skiing, becuse skiing is lame compared to what they do. They are many years ahead of skiing in what they do, if you wherent a stupid shit you would know. Finger on da triger make tanner, c-crew and anyother gangsta skiers look like bitchs.

anyway The movie was decent but the soundtrack wasnt as good as one love, wayyyy too many shots where the rider did a handrail to zoom in/ plan away.
 
haha holy shit that teaser was probably the funniest/gayest teasers i have ever seen. how can you say thats better than ski movies? its just a bunch of white kids trying to look all badass and tough, that teaser really did a good job of taking the fun out of snowboarding and turning it gay.

i agree with all these posts for the most part but got one thing to add. do you really care that much? i dont see how it affects you at all. if anything poorboyz should care and i doubt they do. no need to go crazy over something stupid

Also I watched the movie after 3 other premiering snowboard movies like montreal(had lots of same shots) so I think I was slightly snowboard-movie-fatigued
