Studying abroad....few questions inside, +K for any help

So I am moving to Hofheim, and then a little time in Kriftel over the next year (both about 10-15 miles outside of Frankfurt). Will I be able to rent park skis, or at least twin tips there? I really don't want to have to worry about them on the flight, I've got more important stuff to worry about honestly, just food for thought. Also, what are some great mountains, if not parks near Frankfurt that anyone would suggest. I appreciate any response, and if you don't know, ask a friend or something!!

I believe if you will use them often, is to get a pair of used skis maybe, instead of rent them every time. It's gonna be much cheaper, you can search in places like, www.ebay.de but if not, now a days almost every ski rental has twintip skis...

i Believe the Frankfurt area is quite Flat... not big alp mountains, so my guess would be that you try to go as closer to the Austrian Border as you can, there are places Like Garmish with a nice park or otherwise going to Innsbruck with better parks and nice area...

I really dont know about the frankfurt area, I dont think there are any ski hills close (maybe some fucking small ones, but I dont know). I guess your best call would be to go somewhere int he alps, its all pretty easy to reach (train or car). Maybe its worth going for a weekend now and then.I live in Karlsruhe/Stuttgart, you can pm me for further information I guess (not only related to skiing, but basically anything you wanna know )
