Asside from the obveous (WMD....) we have fucked up with the iraq war. in the Coloradoan, a respected news paper where i live, there was a study that came to the conclution that infact, contrary to what Bush says, terrorists dont hate what we stand for. they dont hate freedom and they dont hate thatwe are rich, they, infact hate what we are doing around the world with our millitary. Suprise suprise, I never could have guessed. so, in going to war, we are indeed indeed merely fueling terrorists hatred for the US, and probably creating more terrorists while we are at it.

well all jokes aside, It's one of those things at this point it's going to be hard to combat. They will continue to terrorise us and we will continue to combat those actions with military force perpetuating the root of the problem. But, what are we supposed to do just sit back and let them?

i could see why you think that, but i dont think that. we need to lift sanctions, and let the UN take controll. we need to take our troops out of almost every place they are in and then mabey these terrorists will stop. although at this point, they may not. they may still want to ''get us back'' that is why i may move to canada or austrailia or somthing when i am older.

I don’t have much time for a good response (mid-term exam in 30 minutes) but I will say this. Even though you guys are arguing over the true reason/motivation for terrorism, you are all partly correct. You all have named valid points that in cases do hold true. But, there is no single factor that can be blamed for it. It’s much deeper and more complicated than that. You can’t always apply an reasonable explanation on an unreasonable cause, like al-Queda for example. I have to run, but I will say more later.

If people are to lazy to correct simple errors, wouldn't that imply that they are perhaps to lazy to research their own argument? A few minor spelling mistakes and typos are acceptable. But complete disregard for proofreading your posts is simply reflecting poorly on you. If you have troubles with spelling just type your post in a word processor first. It will help you correct your errors and most likely help you improve. This is 5th grade stuff. Think about what you are saying before you say it. You will find that your words come out much better when you do.

If you PRESENT yourself in some manner other than a rambliing idiot MAYBE someone will listen to you. Every time you make a thread you say a bunch random things that aren't related and end up making no point. First of all calm down, and stop freaking about everything in the world. The US government isn't trying to kill you. Relax! Second, think about what you say before you post it. Each one of your posts just sounds pretty random and irrelevent, and there for stupid.

In order for someone to think and consider about what you have to say, they're going to have to be able to read it first. A bunch of spelling errors and no punctuation doesn't help you there. It's quite hard to get past how stupid you sound and listen to what you may have to say.

Yeah but I think spellcheckers account for at least a fair portion of kids who can't spell these days. If we keep 'autofixing' spelling errors these people will never learn how to spell.

Before 9/11, what had America done with its military to warrent such an attack on America. Do you honestly think that terrorists attack are made so the US will pull out its military? 9/11 was a direct attack on American ideals and liberty. I would also like to know how this newspaper was able to find out what terrorists think? Seems like speculation to me.

He didn't say what he had done, he said what we are doing. He didn't really make it clear which military efforts he was talking about, but I assumed that because he was speaking of what we are doing right now, he meant Iraq ( our biggest mission currently, which began in 2003).

Now, if he had said that they hated us for such things as the gulf war, or intervention in the soviet conflict, that would make some more sense ( not a lot sense, but more than what he did say made). But that's not what he said.

Actually that is kind of an asinine statement if you think about it. How do kids improve spelling? They see what they spelled wrong. How else would you do it?
