So i need to apply to study abroad soon and i wanna go to australia, anyone got advice as to what universities to look into or where to go and what the different schools are like, much appreciated

use AIFS, its a good program i did it in London this past summer and am going to Cannes next year

I'm going this spring!!! so pumped, i'm going to Bond University on the gold coast through a program called AustraLearn... if you go to AustraLearn's website and ask for information, they'll send you tons on all the different schools over there

MELBOURNE UNI! University of Melbourne is sick man. My sister went there the first half of 2007 and said it was awesome. Really cool people. You can rent a house in Carlton and be right near campus. Melbourne is a really really nice city and youre I think 3 or so hours from skiing too. Def go with melbourne uni. I'll be going there june-november 2010.

theres a program through my current university that makes it pretty easy but they offer like 10 different universities in australia, i want one thats by the beach, and fun to party at,

what are you going to Study? and where in Australia do you want to be?

In Sydney, i would look at

Sydney University

University of NSW

University of Technology, Sydney (I go there and love it)

Melbourne Uni is awesome and has a great reputation.

Bond in Queensland is good, you do a degree quite fast (Only 1.5-2 years i think), but its expensive and QLD is a long way from the snow!

So it comes down to what you want to study, which state you want to be in, and if you want to be close to the snow etc..

i dont really mind about being close to the snow ill probobly just make a big trip to NZ or something, but im studying business, and i have no idea where i want to be i just wanna have a good experience, go to a fun party school or city, and be by the beach

I'm gonna try and go to Otago University in NZ next year. Have heard lots of good reviews from there. AUS is supposed to be very awesome as well, I think Perth has a fun univeristy from what I've heard.

Sydney would be my pick and i'd check out Sydney Uni or UTS (University of Technology, Sydney)

I go to UTS in Sydney and I study business - it is an awwweeeesome uni, such great people - everyone gets so loose!.

As an example, this is the amount of beers 3 of us consumed in 5 days on this years ski trip.

This year UTS Business, Law and Economics schools took out the Number 1 place for graduate employment rates (amongst all Sydney based universities) and we were at the top for good teaching and overall graduate satisfaction..

Also just achieved AACSB accreditation (putting the uni in the top 10% of business schools worldwide)

Obviously I hold a bias, many/most of the unis in Australia are of high standard, and if you get anywhere near the coast you would enjoy yourself for sure!

If you want a different kind of program, go with the school of field studies. what's nice is that have summer programs. I went this summer got to hang out in queenland, inland from cairns in the rainforest. i did field studies and research in the rainforest and on global warming. it was pretty sweet and i really got to be out and explore australia. pm me if you want more info

if you're gonna come I think applications close pretty soon
