I would love to see the details on how this loan situation works. They would have to of been paying well below tue accrued interest every month so either they took on a loan with a insane interest rate they should not have agreed too or they didn't start paying down their loan until decades after they took it on.

While the Government is busy printing off paper like Brrrrrr they may as well pay off student debt which would take a burden off former students across America. The expectation is that once you finish school a better paying job will come along, sometime that is the case while at other times it doesn't quite pan out like that.

I benefited from having a college education payed for by the government. A two year diplomaed course which saw my wages go from $11 an hour doing kitchen labour to about $48 an hour. The Canadian Government saw a 100% ROI by my third income tax return.

There were some stipulations such as if you didn't finish the program you were 100% liable for your tuition.

I think higher education will be a form of entertainment, and a way to upgrade skills in an economy which won't be a labour intensive in the future. There's going to be less jobs to go around. Kurt Cobain said it best "Here we are now, Entertain us".

Again, why are you comparing your "struggle" to pay off your loan to someone else? Their situation might be entirely different than yours and despite working they might be and oftentimes are unable to meet the demand to pay or something happened in their life, such as a health issue, which severely restricts their ability to pay accordingly.

It's okay though, becuase although it won't and certainly doesn't have to come out of taxes as US is chartered to be self-funding corp. ad infinitum, it is the thought alone that someone that might be struggling can be forgiven (forgive them their debts) that bothers you.

Ahhhh, yes, I do. Things happen. Health issues, etc, many times where they cannot get exemptions, let alone forgiveness. The debt accrues and with the increasing expenses of everyday life as well. But again, you keep repeating yourself, I just think targeted debt forgiveness should be a priority for congress especially for the sick who cannot get exemptions.

I agree that the US cannot go into debt wuth its self. That why the Federal Reserve was foolishly created. Now when the gov has a deficit we can print off money and pay for through inflation. Either way there is a fixed amount of resource and utility available, currency is just a measure of repressnting it.

Of course, sure; economics is a "science" but it has little to do with chartering a corporation and the rules in which that corporation was incorporated. Self-funding implies funding for the welfare of citizens without some non-existent deficit, because the deficit does not actually exist. Instead, private corporations mooch off the government and the middle and lower classes are left in the dust. Like I said, leave it up to those private bankers to ruin a good thing.

The idea was to have US corp print its own money without the FED which was chartered by grifting congress, unconstitutionally—merely the institution long desired by Seligman, Morgan and Warburg interests. The Us corp could have printed money free of interest to ebb and flow with supply and demand and each according to his need (he's a commie).
