Stuck in Sweden - Any Scandinavians have ideas for us?!?!

So, we're stuck here for another week and need something to do. We're thinking about renting a car and heading out to maybe check out the ski scene and other fun stuff around here (outside of Are). We're looking for places to go and stay. Anyone have some ideas for us?!?!?
 
I find it funny that Jacob actually lives in Are but he has made it to the US.
 
You could always go to Hafjell, Norway, which is closing this weekend. If you're willing to spend a few hours on the road. And you could visit Oppdal on the way, there sould be some remains of Mega Park there I think? Then head down to Oslo, hike the closed park in Varingskollen and visit the new opera house, see if it compares to the one in Sydney.
 
LOTS of pow over at the westcoast of Norway, but probably very unstable weather. What about Andreas Backyard?

Clarke, head to Dover, and get the boat over. There is, as ever, a ton of skiing here still.

As i live like 160km from Åre i kinda know many ski resorts etc so I gues you could check out Bydalen its closer to Östersund quite good park there but maby its to litle snow you could go west almost on the border to Norway to the place called Storlien,or you can go to Östersund maby go and check the nightlife out they also got a park there though there isnt that much happening in this part of sweden at this time of the year, Or you could go to the hometown of Ante Olofsson the Filmer also my home town Strömsund and visit me and my acl recovery... :P Dont know whats more worth visiting around here...
 
You could try going to Oppdal, it had the best park in Norway 2-3 weeks ago. But then agian, after MegaPark(which it was called) the resort hasn't done much with it.

Get to OSLO, NORWAY as fast as possible, walk out on the streets downtown and look for awesome looking party busses that WILL be driving around. Seriously, there will be around 100 different busses driving around filled with awesome party people wearing red pants! You cannot miss this!!
 
Everyone can just join Field Productions on Stranda Fjellet in Norway! Just Follow Aleks Aurdal.. Should be pretty Legit..
 
Ask TFJprod: https://www.newschoolers.com/web/members/profile/member_id/111485/ if you can join them on a sweet spring session in Gustavsbergsbacken in Östersund! Östersund also have some nice handrails too but it's a shame there isn't so much snow. And this weekend it's the Freeride weekend in Åre (kinda hard to miss if you're already there) where they build a pretty sweet park on Åreskutan to shred on.
 
If you're in Sweden you should try a delicacy known as "surströmming", it's basicly fermented baltic herring, usually eaten with flat bread, potatoes and onions. The herring has quite a powerful odour, so it's recommended to eat it outside, it's an experience you won't soon forget!

If you want to go to Norway the closest "bigger" city to Åre is Trondheim, which has some good partying. Oppdal would be the best skihill close to here again, but I doubt the conditions are that great anymore.

Freeride Weekend in Åre starting thursday. They usually build an huge park on the top of the mountain but due of lack of snow thay are building it in Bräcke, but it sure si going to be pimp! Stay in Åre and slay, it's like the last weekend so they usually build something speciall.
 
Rent mascot costumes, drink alot and bring a camera everywhere you go... Either that or pretend like you know how to speak swedish and just babble random crap and scare people
 
They didn't event want you in the US Danger, The weather is pretty rubbish in Stockholm today, me and Rusty Handshoes are going for coffee. Would like to go shoot something but "get naked Jase" has my baseplate for my tripod.

you guys could hit up stockholm ...if u can get there its pretty chill city im sure most of u kno... or theres prob some limited skiing up north.
 
you guys should head down to Lindvallen in "Sälen" who isone of swedens biggest skiresort exept from åre.

This weekend we are arranging a gaper day this saturday wich is going to kick ass, and then we are going for the worlds longest rail on saturday. 68,4 meter box is set up and tested, session on sunday is going to be bananas!

get over here, it will be worth it, really good afterski and such!

i guess skipasses and accomadation can be arranged without having you guys to pay for it!

and yeah, the afterski is going to be pretty crasy this weekend, it is an event called "ski rock" wich litterally means get drunk and ski your ass of!

Crazy that this thread turned into one of the most legendary edits of its time (still is today though)!
