Stretching Jibberish?

I wanted to make my jibberish/level 1 crew a little bit taller like 1/2 - 1 in.
Whats the best way to do this?

how do you survive?

put it in the washer on extra hot water for like 3 hours and then it in the dryer on hot for another 5 hours. should stretch a few inches.
