There's a new streetlight album out, so all SM fans discuss. I think its pretty damn good.

If you don't know who SM is, listen to their first album "Everything Goes Numb". That CD did, and still does, blow my mind.

I agree, I am so glad that they didnt change their style much from "Everything Goes Numb" to this album, it is definitely similar with rythms, high energy horn parts and lots of room for skankin'

I can't wait to see them on Friday!!!

hell yeah i didn't know they had a new album out. i'm going to have to check it out. streetlight kicks ass. i've seen them like 3 times live now, and they rock every time

hah i got this cd last week and no one replied to my thread. this cd is so amazing. my favorite songs are the blonde leads the blind and down, down, down to mephistos cafe

dude the CD is amazing and I saw them play in Buffalo a week ago....by FAR the best ska show I've seen and I've seen reel big fish, Catch 22, Mustardplug, Big D and the kids table , and a bunch of other groups, Streetlight Manifesto was way better....frickin' unreal live

Bout time they came out with the new album. Now I'm even more pissed I didn't go see them Monday.

true. but they re-did keasby nights. one of my overall favorite ska albums. considering like half of streetlight was in catch 22 when they recorded that album, i'd say they should have the chance to re-record it if they wanted to. and they did a damn good job. i understand what you're saying though, it wasn't new streetlight, it's been a long time since they recorded everything goes numb. which is why i'm very stoked on this album!

if anyone is interested. i would recommend checking out BOTAR (bandits of the acoustic revolution). it's the streetlight main singer's side project. they only have like a 5 track album that i've heard, but it definitely rocks.

thats true and many people dont know this but thomas kalnoky (singer and guitar player for streetlight) writes all the parts to all of their songs so when it comes down to legalities he owns the rights to all of keasbey and every streetlight song. the guy is a musical genius when they went to record everything goes numb he had something like 60 songs written that they chose from. and BOTAR kicks ass

My favorite song is Down Down Down to Mephisto's Cafe, such a good chorus, I can't get it out of my head, but this time its a good thing

yea i love botar and people should definitely check it out. its a 5 song EP from like 2002 called "A Call to Arms". and kalnoky is a total genius.

yea Gimp was his punk band in high school pre-Catch 22. i have the EP. its cool to see where hes coming from musically in terms of punk.

damn i'd realy like to hear that, especially supernothing to hear how it evolved. have you heard the original catch 22 ep?

Yes "Rules of the Game" - very rough cut yet very Kalnoky if you know what I mean
