Im listening to it right now, and imtelling you; i definatley like the first one more, dont get me wrong, this one is good, but i dont know what Tomas Knockaly(sp) was going for here, i mean, its the exact same CD but with streetlight manifesto, it seems he produced it and its not as raw and the Catch 22 version.

thoughts

i think that he did it to reclaim the songs from catch 22. he wrote all of the songs himself and when he quit catch 22 they got a new guitarist and singer and kept playing the songs. when he formed streetlight it was like half the members of the original catch 22, yet catch 22 still played their stuff. if you listen to 1234 1234 they talk about it at the end.

streetlight manifesto is the original catch 22, they like the other person said are reclaiming their cd. the new catch 22 has no original members and if u have listened lately it blows.

also i think it says somewhere that this is how they wanted it to sound and changed some shit for labels or somehting maybe. but first halfd of fhwat i said is right

there not catch's songs there street lights, streetlight is the original catch and catch has no original memembers

All taht shit aside, Streetlight is so sick. I saw em live, and man they rocked that shit. Tomas is such an amazing song writer

Wow there is so much incorrect crap in this thread!

1. Tom Kalnoky re-did Keasbey because Victory was going to re-release the original version except call it Streetlight Manifesto instead of Catch 22 and throw a few live tracks on it or something so people would buy it. Tom hated that idea but Victory wouldn't stop so Tom told them the least they could do would be to let him re-record it so it's not just putting out the same album. He knew he would come under fire for it but figured it'd be better than just slapping "Streetlight Manifesto" across the same, old Catch 22 cd.

2. What the hell do you mean "Catch 22 has no original members" Quit being retarded. Kevin Gunther (trumpet/vox), Ryan Eldred (sax/vox), and Chris Greer (drums) were all original members of Catch 22 that played on the original Keasbey Nights. Pat Calpin is the guitarist for Catch 22 now and he's been in the band since Josh Ansley left way back when Tom was still in Catch 22.

I don't mind people having their own opinions on this new album, but at least get your facts straight.

After listening to Permanent Revolution for about a month, I think it's a sick album. It grows on you. Listen to the lyrics, so well incorporated to the theme of the album....

i personally think the new catch sucks, the new cd has lie one good song and dinasour sounds had maybe one. still not bad live i saw em like 2 years ago at least
