Street skiing bungees?

Build a wooden dropin that you can set up like a little ladder. Much more fun and effective. Plus you don’t need hella people with you, since you do to pull a bungee back.

Bungees are also a weird way to accelerate and calculate speed. They also also can be very dangerous, form my understanding the main reason Banshee Bungee is or wasn't in business is because of lawsuits where kids get absolutely clapped by one breaking. There's not really any good DIY alternatives as the rubber used in them is vulcanized and specialized to stretch way farther than any just rubber stock tubing you could buy yourself.

TLDR: Build a lil drop-in and pump a few snow bumps instead.

First season of street we just used a rope and one person would run and drag the skier into whatever feature lol

i remember reading the law suit that killed banshee was about a group of people using one at a beach and didn't have the anchored end set properly and it snapped back and one fella got smacked in the face.

Yeah it's one of those things you have to be really careful with. Really effective tools when you need it but I think at one point they were very overused

There's a whole interview w the mom whose kid died using it. They were skimboarding with it, and the stake flew out, hit him in the leg and later died from an infection cuz of it. Another dude had the same thing but it hit him in the nuts... and just like that; RIP Banshee

Wild shit

Banshee Bungee definitely defined an era of street skiing. There was some funny B-Roll of it slipping etc and taking out camera tripods and other random stuff too.

Me and my buddy had the smaller Banshee, you could pull it back ok by yourself but ultimately needed 2 to get a full pull, and that didn’t even give you much speed depending on what you’re trying to hit. I agree with the rest here, wood drop in or natty speed

I agree, and it is funny. But imagine that's some homie lol. Def can be super sketch. That being said, I have used bungees and they do work for what you need but not everyone is careful enough haha
