After I got off class today and was walking from my car to the apartment, a cat came up to me and started meowing at me. I petted it and went on to the door and the cat followed me. It looks clean and well fed, it must be someone's pet/semi-pet or something. People aren't supposed to have pets at these apartments, but I've seen a cat sitting in someone's window before, and I've seen food left out.

Anyways, it's 20 degrees and been snowing all day, so I take the cat inside and give it some water and tuna. I guess tuna is good food for a cat every now and then? I don't have any catfood. Its taking a nap on my couch right now, and I don't want to kick it out into the cold tonight. I don't want to take it to a shelter, they'll just end up killing it. I guess I'll let it stay tonight and let it out tommorrow when it warms up a bit. What should I do with it?

But yea, I've thought about keeping him/her, it's a cool fucking cat. I'd have to go get some kitty liter and some food. Hopefully it doesn't piss on my stuff tonight. I have tile floors but it would end up peeing on the couch/my bed for sure.
 
yeah tuna's good for it. and yeah, post signs about it. if you don't want to take it to a shelter, sell it. maybe take it to the vet to make sure it's up to date on its shots first though.
 
yeah its going to happen. but its all worth it. cats bring a lot of happiness into people's lives.

Call up your local Humane Society. If the cat is really friendly then they usually take them.
 
holy shit you stole someones cat. put up a signs around the entrance(s) to your building saying that you found it and took it in cause you were worried because someone might have just let it out for a while cause it's an outdoors cat and now they are tweaking cause they think their cat got run over or something.

and the fish oil in tuna makes their fur really nice.
 
Yea, thats what I'm worried about, but I can't put up signs and shit cause people aren't supposed to have pets here. I'm thinking I let him out in the morning and put food out for him. If he keeps coming back and it gets cold as shit again the owners forfeit because they leave it outside in the snow, and because they weren't feeding it enough it actually eats the food I put out.
 
At my buddies house in the summer there was this cat that was always around and shit and didnt really seem to have a home and he would just walk into the house and just kick it during the day it was way baller.

But you probably have someone elses cat dood.
 
This little cat just woke up and devoured a whole can of tuna. Apparently the little bit I set out from the last batch didn't fill him up.

He's not gonna explode or anything is he?

u dont want to overfeed him. dry food can actually make your cat really fat. its healthier to have a high protein low carb diet. feed it meat, 3 times a day, about the size of a mouse for a serving.
 
Its a mackerel striped tabby cat with blue eyes. From what I can tell its actually a girl. Good thing I didn't go ahead and name her Yoda or King George III or something.

My brothers girlfriend named their girl cat Gary, so i renamed it Yarg, which is a derrivative of Gary, and infinitely cooler because it's a pirate word.
 


this guy wondered in about 7 months ago and has been chillin at my house ever since.

he goes outside during the day, hunts mice, deposits them at the door, then comes in and crashes for the night.

we call him pogo.
 
Update: I let the cat out in the morning and she took a poop and wandered off. Didn't see her for a while, but I saw her chillin on the sidewalk today and she followed me inside again. Let her out after a little while and she came straight back and crashed on my lap, and now I can't get up. Definately not someone's pet, she just wanders round the neighborhood and hangs out here when it's cold i guess.

Get rid of it before it poops in your sandbox and you go to play in there and you sit in cat shit.
 
if you cant find the owner and you cant keep in your appartment very long, you should give it to some kind of shelter, and if they do kill it, it is probably better than you just letting it go be a stray cat again because no good will come from it being a stray cat, it will most likely either die from the elements or starvation, or it will go make a million more stray cats by banging every other cat in the area, ally cats are little sluts you know.

or, if u dont wanna go to shelter or kick it out and cant keep it, go to some coffee shop somewhere with cat and wait for cute chicks to come by and then they'll be all 'oooo kitty kat so cute!' then you woo them and they come to your place. at least you can get some pussy from the pussy ha. ha.
