STRATTON'S PARK IS AMAZING

Come to aspen we got buttermilk and snowmass and everyone watched the xgames and thats only a small park of crazy terrain park at buttermilk. And then Snowmass is also nice has 3 good tables tons of rails a step-up, another table that's super wide, and lastly both mountains have pipes.

what just because you fell and missed the BUS but honestly whyyyy would you have a RAIL jam on two boxes and the 3rd place prize of gettin your entry fee back is wack as hell but i will say that the jumps on suntanner are doppe

id say the suntanner jumps were knocked down and are way too small now. but the jump on byrneside is sick before it starts snowing and slows it down. it was also sick when i skipped away from all the crowds and hit a foot and a half of fresh pow in kidderbrook

it was really fun yesterday, minus it being a little windy. however the fact that i got caught borrowing someone's season pass and had to pay a $100 fine put a slight damper on my day

cold wars = wack

rail jams were called such so you could slide a rail and not a stupid trap box and bus box that make for a huge hike. a flat down rail or down rail would make fo more interesting cold wars anyway

What can I say, I thought you guys would appreciate being the first to hit the newest feature in the park. All good though, thanks for the feedback. The Suntanner jumps are the same as they were, no changes made. More rails are going in this week.

i kno what u mean about being the first to hit a rail or whatever, but honestly, kids arent interested in that, they want a trickable rail, that will make the funnest/most watchable competition, even if its a simple rail it can still be fun

i thought that park was super fun to do laps through. i also thought the new box was fun, just not for a rail jam, only cause theres really not that much u could do on it. and i didnt really like the bus, only cause i kept catching whatever was on top.

So we dialed in the meadows this week to offer some more beginner options for the groms and learners. Byrneside also got reworked to add a more rails, some logs, and a 2nd table. The snow we got this week was killer and the trees are off the hook! Now we're looking to find/work some features out in the woods. Keep your eyes open cause you never know where a feature will pop up.

is that pyramid/trap box from the coldwars pics still there? i'm gonna be at stratton feb 26th thru the 1st. everything looks really really sick. bus, rainbow, trap...and them tables look perfect size. strattonparks dude, please let it stay sick for when i'm going

Wow, what a holiday! Thanks to all who were throwin down this week cause it was insane. Now we get some time off to rest and plan for the Open. Big Air is coming back!

Cheers,

yea the park has been stagnant, i expected all the jumps to grow. meh, i guess you gusy are doign open stuff, but i'm actually considering going to okemo.

Yeah, it was crazy over Pres week and we were pretty worked. Now were into Open set up, both Sunbowl and Suntanner so that's keepin us busy. With this new snow we will need to re-work some of the features and lay it in so I'll talk to Teddy tonight about makin something bigger. Thanks for the feedback.

just got back from a 3 day trip to stratton and i give you nothing but props. by far the most fun east coast park i ever rode. perfect jumps, all the boxes in suntanner are perfect. the wallride was perfect. basically my dream park. i had no desire to go home. good work. peace

and the park ranger micah is a cool cat.

or it just makes the mountain realize they can charge more for tickets since a lot of people still buy their 72$ ticket so they keep the prices up

It's still on the DL for Slopestyle. The Snow Park Crew got in the machines today and started pushing out the SS Course. We're going over this afternoon to sneak a peak but it'll still be too early to tell. The pipe walls are pretty much in place and it looks alot longer than years past. Cutting will prol begin this weekend. The Big Air on Suntanner is also still being pushed in place and is about halfway done. As soon as I find out more I'll post the update in here so check back!

After the snowstorm last weekend we went out an peep'd some spots in the trees for features. Check out the "Eclipse" woods over in the Sunbowl. There is a pretty steep rainbow tree and a few other flat log rides. We packed down the in runs and made em' as skiable as possible. The rainbow tree is really squirley but great for a video session if you can clear it. Cheers,

Suntanner is up and running except for the bottom section where the Big air build is taking place, the park is still open!

The VT Open course will be open to the public as an advanced/large terrain park starting Mon the 26th. We will not change anything in terms of layout, but will be "grooming" and maintaining the features to keep em dialed.

Yeah, the rollercoaster had to come out for that build. We are still deciding where to put it. First thought was top of Suntanner over on the right but to hit it you would need to skip the first two tables. Now we are thinking it should go in byrneside between the Flat Gap Down box and the 2nd table. The crew is checking out snow depths today to see where it will work best. Eitherway it wil be back up this week.

^maybe so but we are talking eascoast here.

and that would be soooo sick if the VTO course stays up the rest of the year.
