Stratton

i was there last week it was pretty fun. jib park at the bottom had a fun up rail and some other small rails. old smoothie had a flat rail into a 3 jump line then a hip and a wallride. big park had a down rail into 2 jumps that were like 40 or 45 feet. flat rail, flat box, dfd and wallride at the bottom.

up, thats about it. they took the up-rail out (bummer) so the mini-park sucks... byrnside is prime though, especially with a new 10 inches.

hows the new tyroliane park? also did they put in any more new stuff theres so much fun stuff they havent put up like the roller coaster, bit pyramid box, etc

*update* today they took out the flat rail on byrnside :( but put in the flat down flat... meh. they also took out the corrugated tube next to the dfd and put in and a-frame-ish flat-down-ish rail. it was the flat-down/a-frame they had on suntanner last year in front of the ox/wall ride at the bottom.
they put the corrugated tube on the rail garden
tyroliean (spelling?) "makeover" was taking out the up-rail and down-box. so now its the same as it was at the beginning of the year.
parks are goin be fuckin siick this weekend

a fresh 18 inches by tonight. this weekend will be perfect.
but first the park crew needs to get off their asses and dig out the dfd and they need to fix the first down rail so its spin-able. and they also need to get the goddam superpipe up. hopefully within the next week. end rant/
on a positive note they kinda sorta re-did old smoothie. took out the flat rail and the first jump and set up the trap box and a flat-down box (4-6 ft flat to maybe 20-25 ft down) from the us open either last year or the year before. disasters=fun.

the dfd is so gnarly. overall byrneside is pretty nice, the 2 jumps are pretty big and smooth. my only complaint about them is that the landing could be steeper. also, they should change the hip (which no one ever uses) into maybe a jump. they might have to make it smaller than the first two, but i'd like that more than the hip.

no demos im pretty sure, no railjams, nothing im pretty sure. but the setup hasn't changed since the latest update. THERE IS A SHIT LOAD OF SNOW IN THE SUNBOWL where they are blowing snow for the us open... it is above the lift. crazy. i really hope the pipe opens soon

burnside:

downrail into two jumps prob around 40-45 ft into a hip then u have the choice of up down rail, f-d-f rail, big wallride, flat box, d-f-d rail, maybe a flat rail if im forgetting

smoothie:

up-f-d box into a flat down box into 2 real nice smooth jumps id say around 30ft into hip then wallride

under 6 pack lift there is a long flat box (real fun) into a small rail or a small flat box into a pipe thing

tyro:

3 jump line 15 ft or so prob smaller then a small flat rail or flat box, some up flat rail and a bigger one not so good for skiers hard to get onto, then a rolder coaster box and a down box

ive never been to stratton but im headed there this sunday and it looks like its going to be siiick. thanks for the updates on the parks, they sound real fun.

pipe opens tomorrow. they also said they've expanded the rail garden... might go take some pictures tomorrow

rail garden was closed today but they are expanding it... they are adding a roller coaster box a canon box type thing, a flat gap down box, a flat rail and something that appears to be either a QP or a wallridesmoothies jumps were nice today... nothing else has changed as far as i know, vid up in a couple days...

Just finished this upshot mostly in old smoothie and tyrolienne, the wallride is in Byrnesideoverall it was a great time and some sick parks

they put a big corrugated tube in. my profile for pics or byrnside. more coming soon. they also put a nice up rail next to the fdf in byrnside

MY PROFILE FOR PICTURES OF BYRNSIDE (except the new up rail), SMOOTHIE AND THE RAIL PARK!!

the mini park is the same (explained above) except there are a couple little jibs, and the 30 foot flat box from the rail park is there now and they have a like a 12 foot flat rail too.

im going up for a couple days somewhere in the time period of march 16-29

it'd be awesome to ride with a couple ns'ers.

who's game?

new edit. parks are still sick. jumps are good, a little smaller than mid-season but fun. rails are still goood, lips a little low but just makes everything more challenging.
the US open park is SICK. they have a gap to suppose to be down rail but its more like a gap to flat. they have something right next to that but i forget what it was. then they have an up rail and an up box right next to that.
the jumpsssss are so perfect. i have some friends competing in the open and they say the jumps a perfect size. maybe a little smaller than last year but still nice and big. 4 jump line, the 1st two are 40 ft or so, then a 45 footer. than a 50 footer at then end. they may sound a tad small but from what i've heard they are prime.
ill be skiing this sunday if anyones around. then next weekend big sessions going down on the Open park.

what's the deal for riding the us open park? are they leaving it open again and then charging? they haven't been hyping it up like last year as far as i know.
