How's Stratton's parks after all of the rain and everything? I'm heading up there for a 2 day trip on the 24 and 25 of January. Post here if your gunna be up there either of those days. If not, look out for me, Green and tan patagonia jacket, black karbon pants, black holt helmet and smith prodigy's w/ blue lenses.
 
was up there today..the main park is good and runnign with 4 legit tables and a rail section at the bottom with good features - urban down, urban dfd, an up rail, fdf, boxes, and wallride/box option.

the smaller park is alright with two decent jumps and a battlesihp
 
stratton is great. BIg parks jumps are about 34, 39, 45, 50(at least) then theirs smoothie which has two jummps and battleship and down rail then the new mini park which went up today has a four jump line of liek 15 foot tables, a foot high 20 foot long flat rail and some other cool rails.
 
th down n dfd are by no means urban, they are set up horribly, dfd is not even hittable really
they shoudl make them urban though
 
All the rails need to be set in about 10ft uphill from where they are, that way when you land you can actually catch a tranny. The up rail is the only rail that doesn’t hurt when you land.
 
yeah alot of the rails in sunntanner looked like the landings were hard. The only stuff i hit in suntanner was the fdf and the rollercoaster. BTW never hit the rollercoaster...EVER. That shit fucked up my ski. The first bump is fine, but in the down part, where the seam between the lexan sheets is, the second sheet is higher that the first sheet. I fell twice on that. After hit the rail hard the second time and getting the wind knocked out of me, i look at my ski, and that screwed up my lead edge. I pretty much was hanging out in the tryolienne park and those rails were nice. The i popped off my ski at the end of the day, and the brake broke. They second day up there, i saw a kid with green pants, white jacket and volkl walls. He was tearing up suntanner.
 
they had the groomers on suntanner all day today reshaping all the jumps...so look for a little something new for this weekend hopefully

also they added a nice box at the top of smoothie and reshaped the jumps in there to make them not shoot you straight up in the air...the are super nice now
 
what are the new rails lookin like? n what about the jumps, same size? option jumps?
 
not done yet....the jumps are looking like there will be 2 takeoffs on each hit and a little bigger on all jumps

it also looks like there will be rails going down the skiers right of the jump line. should be good if all this rain stays away.

it's also not done so i'm just saying what i can see from the lift
 
so strattons website says the newly rebuilt suntanner is open today, can anyone comfirm with some pictures?
 
i was up there today left early cuz it started hailing but the re built all the jumps made the landings steeper and the take offs wider the first jump has absoultly no pop to it at all its not that great second jump is good third and forth couldnt get speed to hit and they added a flat down box to the right of the fourth jump and put in a down box where the flat gap down was and i was the kid in green pants and white jacket with walls haha
