Stratton or Mount Snow this weekend

I want to go to Mount Snow this Sunday and my dad thinks Stratton will be better. Isn't this the weekend of the US Snowboarding Open? Its gonna be a zoo. I haven't been to Mt. Snow this year and it looks like a good place to try my new skis out. So which will be better and get me more reasons to go to Mount Snow.

i was there on the day of the us snowboarding open last year and it wasnt too bad. there were TONS of people at the lodge and all over the base area but the lifts werent too bad even at the sunbowl area which is where the comp is

the us snowboarding grand prix is at killy this weekend would be kind of stupid to have them both on the same weekend

- anybody know if killy is keeping the slope course or if they are going to make it smaller after the comp

The US Open is next weekend, And ive skiied at stratton every wednesday and weekend since opening, It was great today with 5-6in of new pow. and the parks are shit. If your a park skier i recommened Mt Snow there set up is alot nicer the Stratton this year, and if conditionss in parks are same this weekend as today strattons gonna suck and ill be practicing my switch carving instead of parks i guess.

Short Version

MT SNOW

I heard that they are taking that course down right after the comp. That trail feeds traffic to the bottom so they won't keep a park on it.

I've been at Stratton the past couple days and it's been fun because there aren't many people there, but they fucking took down the big park which is sooooo gay. If you're looking to hit a line of 3 eight foot jumps or two 15-20 foot jumps and some mediocre boxes then sure, go to Stratton. I've ridden both places within the past week and I'd definitely go to Mount Snow.
