Stratton is deffinitly made up of a bunch of dumbasses who dont care about shit, just got this in my email:

Dear Matt,

With rain in the forecast through the weekend, we have decided to re-schedule opening day for Wednesday, Nov. 26 so that you will find New England's finest skiing and riding right here at Stratton Mountain for the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.

A strong start to the snowmaking season has given our team the chance to make enough snow to bury a football field 200 feet deep. And we're stockpiling it on some of your favorite playing fields such as North American, Polar Bear, Grizzly, Suntanner ... We expect 10 trails and a jib park for Opening Day 2003!

So gay! I will fuckin ski in the rain, who gives a shit, thats when the snows nice and soft anyway.

what the fuck. that sucks. i was looking at the weather report though...its supossed to rain from tomorrow through monday. doesn't look like there will be any decent skiing this weekend unless temps drop and it turns to rain

I was hoping the snowmaking temperatures would continue all week long. stratton would definately build jumps, but if the snow is gonna melt, it wont be happening. they should open anyways though

Neat? An entire football field? Is that how people measure the size of their mountains on the East Coast? By the relative size to a football field? That's so fucking sad.

 
you know what IS sad? every person I have seen with the word 'Baker' in their names happens to be a pompous dick. Is it in the water?

anyway... the football field statistic is not odd, they are just adding up total cubic snow over the entire mountain and using numbers so it makes it seem like a lot. I am sure at whister there is enough to cover many football fields 100 ft deep in snow. good marketing tactic though ;)

baker, weak attempt at trying to diss the east coast. if you had any reading skill, you would realize that that's all the snow they've made. no where in that does it say that's how big the mountain is.

Hahahah. You guys are so sensitive, its cute. I guess I'm just not used to mountains measuring their snow by how much they have blown in regards to football field size. We just stick with the good 'ol natural base depth out here, which is around 50 something inches at Mt. Baker.

well then i'm sorry. you're the coolest person i've ever seen on this message board. natural cover, oh my! there's resorts that rely on that here too. but oh right, we measure snow differently, so i'll stop talking.
