Stratton 2010/2011

i haven't skied it yet, just saw it from the lift but they don't have any jumps up yet, just rails and i believe it went something like:

1) 30ft slight up rail

2) into a down bar and down box maybe? trees were in the way

3) into another down bar and possible down box? again, tough to see

4) into an uprail or a-frame rail

5) into a flat box

6) into the battleship box and then maybe another flat box or rail.

im pretty sure everything is at least 25ft long and it looked siiick. my friend hit it and said it was dope. and i haven't seen the pipe since that pic was taken but it's supposed to be open this weekend maybe?

today was awesome, it wasn't windy so the temp was OK. There's so much snow on the mountain, conditions are awesome.

I hit the cliff under the upper sun bowl lift a few times, does anyone know of any other good stuff to hit with all this snow?

some alright cliffs in why not and grizzly woods. dancing bear has a cool quick thing but nothing to big. nice one at the end of kidderbrook ravine and some good ones in test pilot, just gotta find them

yeah that cliff was pretty nice. I was the first one to hit it that day, which is surprising since it wasn't until around 11 or so.

Some road gappage we hit up this week. Thought you guy's might like it.

^ where was that??

by the way the big park is up and rockin

the video doesn't do it justice. it's wayyy more fun than they make it look. i won't be around much for february but if i get a chance i'll take some pics. i've been slacking with pics this year haha

It's in Keene NH.
And I rode the big park a bit this weekend. It seems super fun but there's basically no way I could see to hit the jumps haha. But the rails are all super sick

why would you post those pics in this thread if they were in keene? i could understand if they were around stratton but don't spam this thread with that stuff man, c'mon.

haha. C'MON SON!

Just got back from Utah, heading to loon for the weekend (free condo - not looking forward to the gaper fest but hopefully the park will be good like usual) then shredding stratton for Feb break. Hit me up if you're around midweek next week errrbody.

sorry i haven't been updating at all guys. i haven't skied park in so damn long.

but it was super warm thursday/friday then got cold again yesterday so it definitely froze a bit and is/was semi-hard but we're getting 4-8 tonight into tomorrow so i'm sure it'll soften up a bit

I was thinking of going up to stratton one of these days. I haven't ridden there yet this year but was wondering if the jumps on lower middlebrook were any good. People were saying in this thread that they were pretty shitty when they were first up, but have they tweaked them at all to make them easier to clear? Thanks for your help!

I was there yesterday for the first time in over a month but the jumps on Middlebrook were actually possible to overshoot. Absolutely no speed issues whatsoever.
They redid the lips on the jumps in the Superpark and those jumps are really nice as well.
Idk when they put it up cause I haven't been around but Smoothie is set up. Flat rail to maybe a 20 footer to small up dance floor type box to another up box (maybe flat box, can't remember) to small a frame with a small flat rail next to it to the rollercoaster box. Lot of fun to screw around on.

Middlebrook was good sunday. Snow was slow in the morning but the afternoon it slushed up some and speed wasnt an issue for the 4 pack of jumps at the end. Old Smootie is fun but its not worth hitting with middlebrook open. I hope they open up the pro park again. Those US Open jumps look money.

they're not planning on it :( from what i heard they're using the jumps for ariels in the Freeskiing Nationals or whatever is at stratton in a couple weeks. bummer for sure.

I just read that on their facebook page.. Stratton really messed up this year when it came to their pro park.. I got to hit the four pack one day.. that was it. And middlebrook was near impossible to clear the jumps until they cut them down some. Thank god we go snow this year and i spent the days in the woods.

so the US open park was "open" sunday with just two sections open.. just rails.. very lame stratton, very lame.. good job sending all the park kids to Mt Snow this year.

Middlebrook wasnt bad, i was messing around with carving off lips and the snow was perfect for it. Got slushy towards the end of the day, but hey, thats spring.

See ya next sunday!

yeah i skied saturday and middlebrook was super fun and i thought the Open park was closed haha. wish i had known the rails looked mad fun. oh well.
