Straight Jibbers Suck

You have to be able to do it all man. There are so many kids out there now who can throw down in the park and pipe, but can't actually ski to save their lives.

I love to play in the park as much as the next guy, but there's a whole hill to ski. Buy yourselves a pair of fat skiis, hit some trees, drop a 30 footer or straight line your favorite steeps.

Get the foundation down, seth is a god.

are homo jibbers good?

the great white north? where is that exactly? -seth

just take a right at the 4-ways, then over the yellow line. If the man with the red hat says anything to you, just tell him that dw sent you. The secret password is 'coo-loo-coo-coo-coo-coo-coo-coooo'.-dw

what the fuck is jibbing? is that like on snow or something?

THE SPRINKLER: get butt naked and then do a 1260 while taking a piss, i expect this trick to win many comps this coming season.

That is geting SO Lame everyboodys just saying that to be cool now. Find a new trend.

SUMMER SUCKS!!!

What if the kids that are super good at park and pipe don't like skiing the rest of the mountain?

There is nothing motherly about mother nature. Except for her big mountainous breasts.

what about people who are good at skking the mountain but not the park, what do we call them?......no wait i know what we call them our parents, park is the new thing get uised to it.

take me for instance i have no fun on the mtn unless im in a park or pipe airing out and expressing myself that way.. it gets me away from my problems where i can forget about everything else and just have fun with other people in the park.. i have no desire to ski the whole mtn.

i do both, ski the whole mountain, backcountry, steeps whatever and also do park and pipe... sort of all-around i suppose

most of the strait jibbers u speak of dont have access to back country cuz the east just doesnt have it. im stuck just doing park but if i had the option, i'd do it all

Eat, sleep, poo, ski.

wannabegangsta that was the best response ever

ok so what about the people like me who live in jersey, and i cant find a 30 foot cliff or trees and pow for the life of me? so i like the park and so do alot of people, who cares ride whatever you want

Hey, You suck! and what does it matter if a skier cant ski backcountry good. For instance if you bike and your good on dirt jumps doesnt mean you have to be good in the park.

i never said you have to be good in the backcountry... if you got it, seize it, but everybody does, so...

-Grant

Chicken Wang?

ya, and what about those of us, who dont have parks...and will ride them as much as we can when we get the chance. after awhile, the whole mountain gets boring, because there is nothing left to do

'When I'm mad as fuck you get shot and to some it's bad luck, I believe you held something back for too long, it grew strong and energy got its own will, and people think that we make music still, but music is there without you or me we just minipulate for better or worse so let it situate.'

i agree, but luckily my mountain is fairly big...i like to ski a few hours on the mountain before i hit the park usually...

.'did you see what i said?' - matt on magic mushrooms....

i would ski watever is best for conditions... pow=no park some freshies=both sunny or no new=park and stuff, but i never follow that, its whatever the heart desires

thats the most anal thing I have ever heard anyone say. for the people that live in the east, they got nothin to ride but the park, so so sad. the west is a bit different, but still alot of the times peoples local mountains don't have all the terrain needed to be great in every aspect of the sport. second, there as crazy park skier and crazy big mountain skiers. they both excel in there own feild. these people are not to be labeled as pros. pro status should be acheved when you are equally as talented on all areas of the mountain. A professional can ski a back country line and pull park tricks off of the majority of the obsticles. but no you cannot say people suck unless they ski the whole mountain, cus thats bullshit.

sacrifice, to some its just a word, to others it is a code, what matters is the colony, he is willing to live for the colony, fight for the colony, die for the colony.

THANK YOU

especially midwest

that's why me and my friends from here (ohio/hell) can goother places and totally tear it up- because while you guys have the opportunity to split your time between park an 'carving runs' we spend all of our time building little jumps and lerning to huck ourselves

we do not have a choice in the matter

but it helps our jumpin a lot, bt definitly not our skiing

Brody

i wont drop out of high school for skiing, mom

any fate questions or orders, let me know.

alright, for the east coasters - stop trying to make everyone feel bad for us. yea, maybe our terrain is nothing compared to whistler or alta, but its not that bad. we have some mountains out here with pretty sick runs, like jay or smuggs for example. i love skiing glades, even if its not in fresh powder all the time. sure, connecticut skiing is a bit different, and ya, it does suck, but up north its not that bad. ill usually ski the mountain half the day and the park the other half, unless its a real small mountain.... so give our mountians a chance and put some effort into finding good trails, don't just bitch about how bad or icy is it out here.

~Chris

You know something that would really make me applaud? A guy gets stuck in quicksand, then sinks, then suddenly comes shooting out, riding on water skis. How do they do that?

being from ontario there is no big mountain here so we have no choice but to ride park. i prefer to ski big mountain but realistically im stuck in a park

YOu a fag....most of them can do it all you just never see the other side of them..

Hey yo, im bringin' it down with the sick boyz crew

Ill urban jibs is what we do

People barf, when we throw down

Cause the SBC is the illest in the town.

fuck whoever posted this, let them fucking ski

'pro - peagna? What the fuck is that?' - my friend looking at my Propaganda DVD (he's not to bright)

'nah im still going to ski, im just going to board when im... bored...' darryl hunt

Unfortunatly when your doing 300 laps a night, it's hard not to get board unless your riding pipe or park,

that's what the east coast is,

Even tremblant is lame, after you've skied there 'expert' terrain, a few times

the matter is The east coast simply doesn't have the same stuff as out west, (minus Jay Peak)

So unless you like skiing moguls, or groomed runs, or a 200 ft long tree run your probley gonna want to ride park most of the time

'I'm still Ugly'

I like riding BC and stuff more, but that's just because I'm new to park riding and I suck. bahahaha

I think that a 'good' skier is one who does whatever he/she wants to do on the snow.

its ok for an east coaster/ mid wester to be a strait jibber, but then if your a west coaster you should try to have your skills all rounded off

yea man, you ski for fucking fun, not to be a 'well balanced' skier and to get respect from fucks like this guy who made this thread.

You wanna know what sucks? I live in Kentucky... and the best slopes within hours are in Indiana. Yup, Indiana. Yes, there is a hill in Indiana. Kind of. So don't tell me I have to ride powder every day to be a real skier, 'cause the only time I ever see powder is when I manage to transport myself to colorado or something. And our 'park' consists of one jump and a straight rail or two... sometimes we get really lucky and have two jumps. compared to this, east coast is monster backcountry. Bleh. End whine.

do whats fun, do what you want, do what you can, this isn't as complex as people want it to be, why do people take this thing so seriously

i dont ski backcountry because it isnt as fun as skiing in the park and express my 'feelings' by doing tricks. I die for the park. But i like to build backcountry jumps and land down a ravine, but anyway backcountry isnt interesting me.

This is how it works for me - I live in Wisconsin and i ski at Granite Peak (biggest in midwest, lol). All i ski there is in the park, cuz everything else is lame. I go to whistler every year for spring break and get all of my backcountry in there.

This is a gay thread. Who cares if they are only in the park or if they dont visit the park much, as long as they are a freeskier theyre sick and it doesnt matter. For me im in the park half the time at my local mountain, and when im up in new england unless im at okemo or somewhere with a nice park ill be on most of the moutain finding sick terrain, especially if there is a powder day.

btw DW, good response about my asking of directions, lol

Fairygirl: Why must you be so damn good looking? Why?? lol

nipe: Thats right Diabhal, because we're skiers

Definateley a gay thread!! Its really up to people where they want to ski wether it may be the park, groomers or back country.

Some people get their kicks frompowder oters get it from stomping a 40ft switch 540. And others get their jollies from anal - these kind of people are the ones that we should be hunting down

'Just Jib It'

You all suck!!! I am all mountain GOD!!!

You need to do it all, but if you only got a park go ahead and kill it and throw down. Just do what makes u feel good and gets you chicks! here in japan, moguls will get you laid!

Jim

Arguing for arguing's sake. That's why we are here. Could anyone come up with something more controversial? How about: did anyone ever get drunk, kissed a girl which later turned out to be a man and liked it??

Be Strong, Be Wrong.

I'm really sick of people echoing back what they heard tanner hall say last year.

Do you want all those people who are buying skis and supporting the industry to quit?

So you can't ski the rest of the mountain... should they stop skiing?

At least if they're in the park they will learn to ski eventually.

They support the industry, support the cause, and are skiers too.

I think skiers need to drop the attitude.

Afterall, isn't that why we hate racers, instructors and freestylers?

I'm over it.

just ski where you have fun, the boys who are only good in the park tend to stay there, leaving the rest of the mountain for skiers who don't like the park as much

Don't drink and park, accidents cause people.

Snowboarders don't argue like this you bunch of non-smoking pussies! Go hug each other floaters!

'can you parachute down to earth from the moon?'

the whole mountain skiing thing is beautiful so dont get all caught up in the artificial rails and shit although they can be fun. Also if i hear the term 'jibbing' again I am going to kill all you fucks. If you are the guy at a beautiful mountain like Vail and never leave the terrain park--get a life, you are not a skier, at best you are a freestyler.
