Stowe Scene

I'll be in riding stowe next weekend and I was wondering about the scene. I'll actually be writing something up for NS so if any NS members will be there, that would add to a great story. What's this whole Meathead scene?

uhm... thats a bit wierd dude. scenes are hardly worth righting about in that area. No one does anything story worthy, and its too cold to pursue anything worth writing about.

stowes park is beat. sketchy to say the least, and this is all hear say cause i havent been back there in years.

i;d say your best bet is a photo story of your vacation.

I was up there on Monday and it kinda sucked. Stowe is a ripoff, its a giant sheet of ice and they are just starting to put a park together. If you have the option go Sugarbush, MRG, Smuggs or Jay.

Dope.

Isn't smuggs on the back-side of Stowe? I talked to the guys at Stratton, but I don't think they were down to hook me up and I can't justify going to VT and paying $70 for a lift ticket. Out here, squaw is cheaper than that. Where is there a scene?

ya they are both on mt mansfield, highest point in vermont. both parks are alright i guess, nothing spectacular. smuggs has a dope new s box though. if there is fresh snow, both places are unreal. i would say go to stowe over smuggs simply because the lifts at smuggs are the worst. if you are looking for a good park go to sunday river or mt snow. if you are looking for sick hike accessed shit, go to stowe

stowe doesnt have much but that was a while ago before tyrolia park was open. then they just had 2 crappy jumps and some rails

Yea the Meatheads are these gnarly shred guys. They dki alot of crazy stuff. They film too. But, they were filmin on the Chin at Stowe on this gnarly line called the death chute. I guess this one guy fell or something and he rolled off of a 200-foot cliff and died. It's pretty sad.

yeah his name is Alec Stall. the snow was just really crusty and he got caught up in it. sadly the fall of the cliff killed him just before he was baried by snow from above. He seemed like a real cool guy.
