Stowe park+ conditions

hows the park and conditions at stowe? i'm going next week for march break and just wondering what to expect. I know thev'e gotten some rain and stuff but is the park nice? and how are the conditions everywhere else on the mountain?

Didn't roll thru the park but conditions were fairly hard and icey after the rain/ice then cold, and sharp edges were my friends. Hopefully the sun and warmer air moving in will soften things up a bit.

stoweparks where you at? the website says ur reshaping.... any chance you'll get those jibs back into a run on the side of the medium/smaller jumps in north slope?? that was wayy doper that way, because ideally we want as many jibs in a line as possible i would say, i would rather have the option to hit three jumps and no jibs, or no jumps and four jibs instead of three jumps one jib

their biggest jump has got to be number 2 in tyro which i a step down that you can take really deep but its real scary. biggest is maybe 45', send er 50'

I'd love to know what's up. I haven't been in agesssss due to midterms, trips, and spring break. Hope someone can give some imput... I really hope we can make it to that 4/20 closing date like we did last year-- that was epic.

went yesterday, pretty much same old set up, now a flat box next to the jumps on north slope with the tall box flat rail and now a cannon tube thing for your options after the small jumps on north slope, tyro is the same. yea i really hope we can make it to 4/20 but its not looking so good, snow is going faaast

the first jump in tyro is super lippy now and kinda whack. the re-did north slope and their landings are kinda whack too. really steep to flat and too short.

ill be there next weekend hopefully throw my first misty 5 on north slope left jump.ill prolly pussy out thoare jumps good? rails?

sick spring day today, still plenty of snow, icy in parts under the lift and shit but park was sick and such a nice day, pray for no rain this weekend but today was way fun

I was just there and the jumps were nice and the landings are soft...maybe a little too soft becuse you cant land switch and tick it clean enough to hit the next jump easily because there is about 6 inches of slush. They stopped grooming. Its good conditions to learn though becaue you can fall and it doesn't hurt. I tried rodeo 7 and landed on my back and got right back up

We're still grooming, just not when it rains, the cat has a tough enough time getting around in this slop, might have to sacrifice a thing or two but gonna keep some stuff going to the end.

i would say take out two, and push it into three, make it more stepoverish and wider, and about 15 feet more deck!
that is in tyro btw.

word, the second jump is not the best, that bottom jump in tryo could be so sick, sort of like the jump at windells in turbo. a step over. could be so sick, there is the speed there and everything.

haha i went yesterday and it was rough. a few inches of new slush on top of rain shrunken jumps. first jump in tyro might be smaller than the last in north. Both rails in tyro melted and fell over part way and the speed was brutal. it kinda sucked.

The 2 rails at the top of Tyro were leaning bad so I pulled 'em. The rest of the jumps will stay, As for making stuff bigger, It's a time thing keeping up with all the rest of the parks and cuttin pipe, hence taking out some rails so we can try to keep other stuff up. But at this point time keeps us from taking a whole night to push up 1 jump with all the other stuff to keep up with.

looks like you need some more grooming help. maybe the evil corporation of stowe mountain resort should focus a little more money on the MOUNTAIN and a little less on the resort.
big ups for trying to do it all yourself.

duuudddeee fersureee...last year was dooooppeeee...there should be one again unless they leave it too late and there is no snow...that happened two years ago i think

There's only so much that can be done when it's 50's-60's and sunny or 40's and raining and not going to get below freezing at night.

Yea we plan on holding the Memorial day "Last Trick" on Sat May 23rd, most likely at the 1/2 pipe. Always snow left there.

tyro is done. which is rediculous. there was plenty of snow and speed to hit those jumps. i know it is very difficult to maintain all the parks when it is as soft as it is right now, but now all we have are north's tiny 3 pack.

i'm gonna be up there next weekend and that whole week. i was hoping that I could ski during the week, but it looks like sunday the 19th is your guys last day? will there be anything still setup because I haven't skied in like 3 or 4 weeks and I was really looking forward to hitting some more park. will there at least be a couple rails or something set up?

yea whats the deal with that?!? No more tryo and a tiny north slope
PLEASSSEEEE Build a jump where the step over in tyro used to be. There is plenty of snow, with the perfect in run. It could be so sick!!!! or even just turn all the little north slope jumps into one pbig one. With all the warm weather and surplus of snow, it could make for some awesome sessions.
UVM FST will even help build and maintain it.
PLEAAASSSEEE

is there still a park? i was gonna head up tomorrow and friday, buw idk if i will if theres no park set up.

i went on the 11th for my first time and the park above the halfpipe was closed, but was open beneath and they also had the mid sized park that you can see from the lift open, but it was wicked slow.
