"Hidee ho everyone, I'm sure you're all wondering what's going on up on the mountain...

Well, it's been a busy summer for sure. First we've taken big steps to try and put up a fight if mother nature wants to be a stingy little b!#%h again. On parts of the hill we've replaced miles of snowmaking pipe, most importantly on L Standard, that pipe blew up the last 3-4 seasons in a row and added new tower guns to put down some serious snow for the pipe no matter what. On N Slope, we installed 5-6 new turbo fan guns to bury that friggin park trail. 5th Ave got a major cut back (trees) on skiers right so they might have added a few feet to the trail for us and better tower guns added!!! Tyro also got some upgraded tower guns! So, I'm feeling really really good about putting snow on the ground in the parks this season!

Now, I'm sure you're all wondering about rails and what not... Well I've been in the shop the last few weeks. I've taken all the awesome suggestions you have thrown at me and I wish I could make everything but shooting to turn out 10 new ones. And yes, you will have a rail/box set that the rail and box can be setup on either side when re-setup. I'm still in the process of painting and assembling the few features that are all welded up so I don't have pix just yet, but I will post some teasers soon. Some features I'll share with you and some I want to keep under wraps for a bit of an on hill unveiling if you don't mind. But I will let you know there are more round bar stuff in the works, double barrel, boxes and the return of the "what" rail and...

Events have also gotten a boost but still in the works so details to follow...

I hope you're all as stoked as I am for this new stuff and a new season, I just hope it's a cold one!!!"

Who is stoked? The question mark rail is coming back...

doesn't look like it "Kurt Crouse: I would like nothing more, however, I have my entire staff in park ops orientation that day, been scheduled for weeks. This decision to open for Sat only just came at us this afternoon. But I promise a strong opening for the 17th! It also gives us the opportunity to really cover 5th Ave so we don't have to squeeze in on Ridgeview!"

checking in. I should be there for thanksgiving break, part of christmas break, and spring breaak. also might go up next weekend

^no doubt about it. they wont lose enough snow to make it so they cant open. Also i looked at the low temps and they should be able to blow during the week too. the real question is what is the park setup gonna be like

Sorry, haven't forgot about you all, glad to hear you enjoyed it. Much better then being on Ridgeview all squeezed in! So I have plans to change up the park sometime the week after Thanksgiving to make it fresh for the 1st Trick on Sat Dec 1 and UVM on Sun Dec 2. Hope to make more frequent changes this season! Who's ready for a better season then last?! I'll make this thread a regular stop, but you all can also join the Stowe Parks FB group, post edits, photos and stuff... //(o)(o)\\

Closeouts are not going in 5th Ave, they're a too advanced for a medium park. But I will be changing the setup next week in prep for 1st Trick on Dec 1 and the UVM Triple Crown skiers only rail jam on Dec 2. I will let you know when we'll be closing the park to rebuild.

Heads up, I'm closing 5th Ave on Wed for a rebuild before this weekends events.

Heading up to Stowe in december break (26th to the 30th).

any must ride trails? obviously the parks but as far as just cruising and glades

first hit is flat box-6 inch drop-flat box, then it becomes a two line rail garden. left side is down box then flat box. right side is down rail then flat rail. after is flat down rail then a barrel and stall jib thing on the same hit.

Sup there ya'll, I put in another park down on Lower Standard, we started to put snow there for the 1/2pipe (yes we will have one this season) and since it is a park trail I thought "why not!". We put in some small features that go lil' sumpin like dis. 12' flat box to 20' mellow wide rainbow box to 16' low flat rail to 16' low mellow down rail to option of culvert bonk or small jump out. The Mt Triple lift will operate tomorrow then closed mid week then open for good Dec 15th. Enjoy!

heading to stowe tomorrow. havent been there for over a decade (last time i was still snowboarding, or should i say, sliding on my ass). where is the powderz? someone should chauffeur me around, it would be tight.

My younger brother is going to Stowe in a few weeks with his ski club, and I'd like to be able to give him some good runs to hit up. He's 16, a decent snowboarder, in the park, but it's his first time out of WNY into an actual mountain. Can someone PM me some good runs and maybe beginner/intermediate glades around? I went there years ago, but it was rainy and didn't get to check much out besides the park. Thanks guys.

perry merrel is a shitload of fun right off the gondola

also when is 5th ave gonna be rebuilt? the double box thing is completely sideways. Im not complaining because I still wanna get some footy before it stuff gets moved around, Im just curious

Cats were pushing snow around today in tyro. Hope they get a lot done before we go back into the freezer

woods are back, especially up high on leeward side of wind, and only getting better. great morning.
