there is a flat down box, flat box, 40ft flat rail, 30ft guard rail flat, 24ft up rail, butter box and a secret feature which will make u poop urself when u see how legit it is.

And don't thank us, thank Kurt, or Stoweparks here on NS. He really fucking hooked it up MAD NICE.

hiking the whole park will take a lot of energy.... so im thinking kids who are trying to get footy , we should just session indivisual features for a while . like start on the FD then move to the flat and then uprail etc

and by the end try and get some full lines top to bottom

yeaaa sounds dope. anyone know what the deal is for vid yet? is that kid from like begining of page 2 haha gonna film?

i mean if worst comes to worse i can bring my shitty canon camcorder with a flimsy ass screen...

but id prefer not to have to film with that fucker. i dunno if someone has a legit cam/tripod and would be down for having everyone who wants to get footy session the same thing and just take turns while waiting for ppl to go to film a hit that would be cool.

i dunno any thoughts for filming?

my boy sean will have his vx21/mx-3 and tripod... so if that kids still up for filming then thats chill but either way we can trade off and get shots . gona get tiring hiking constantly anyways , nice to have a break sometimes

oh sick good.

alright im just bringing my digi cam then. ill prob get a bunch of pics of everyone and post 'em on NS so you guys can steal em.

holy fuck, it's 5:44 am, i'm hung over as fuck.. about to go pick up perrywinkles and grimace and then slay that set up.. looks sooo fun.

making that epic edit too

man the jam was soo dope!

i didnt try as many things as i had hoped but i had such a good time. the setup was so legit. thanks tons to stowe for holding the event!

ill put up some pics in a while

I have never been to a more legit jam, was truly epic. Thanks to all who came, and everyone owes Kurt a massive thanks, he hooked it up so good. Glad we were able to work on stuff and glad he listened to what we wanted.

Def turned out to be an epic day.

such a fuckin legit jam...that shit was MADDDD Fun....Props go out to Ben and adank...nd especially Kurt...FUCKIN SHIT WAS AWESOME...ive got some shit on my lil cam but def. need to get the stuff from sean...

haha yeah i just got back.... such a sick day , chill crowd

i can bearly fuckin move im so tired . Thanks again to kurt

Charolette def deserves mad props too, she gave me a ride at 7am this morning and helped craft ALL the lips. She legit DID NOT drop the rake from her hand until the jam started.

Thanks so much to adanks, and seemeski, and stoweparks, would not have happened without all of you. Truly and epic day.

he was one of those canadians, they where def unlegit, I got dirty looks from them from the moment they got there. The mighta been good, but that is no reason to hate on others for no reason at all.

my camera isnt that good but there are some pretty good shots...i put all the stuff i got into a little edit..
u want any seperate shots tell me and ill cut em up and get them to you however i can...my brother probably got some good shots with your cam though so thats where its at

word i just uploaded all the shots to my computer, i'm putting together an edit now.. might be done by the end of the day.

I honestly saw like 10 cams, including an xl, and an hd panasonic or sony, all of which where filming everyone.

Anyone know how to get ahold of that footy?

fuck stowe. maybe they'll do something next season. I skied there 4 times a week and the park never looked like that. sorry to be a hater, but comon. they put the effort in after the season is already over.

yikes- thats a pretty harsh. Stowe knows that their parks we're not the best but they definitely put an effort in- they are learning. Also, Kurt doesn't get to pick which trail /terrain he gets. But the jam's set-up was put together so well, so hopefully the park next year will be too...

put the effort in.....which is why I skied essentially the same park from december-april. yeah its not that one guys fault, and yeah the park crew was out occasionally, but it could've been better and they could've changed stuff up more. hopefully they'll learn and next year will be better.

no yah i can definitely agree with you on that colleen, overall i had fun in that park though. Maybe if stuff was set up with more flow...there were definitely some really fun features adn the jumps were pretty fun at times...

but im sure stowe will keep working at getting it better. cheers!

No, I hear you on somethings, I would have liked the park switched around more, but being negative isn't gonna get us anywhere. Kurt put in a great way when he said that no one lands a trick first try (well, unless your Lil John). Stowe listened to what we said last year and tried to step it up and thats why they tried Spruce. I didn't work- and they learned.

So lets be positive- this rail jam proves (hopefully) that they are getting closer toward meeting everyones needs and a epic park for next year....

more flow could not have been done on north slope. It was reasonably tight as it was, and without loosing a full section of features I don't see how it could have been done.

With that said I think he did a daum good job, you could hike any one feature just fine, just hope stowe gives him the shit he needs for next season.

you could...but it was always mad sketchy hiking the first line of jibs. you had to hike into the landing of the jumps to get speed for anything and then you couldn't tell if there was someone coming down the jumps or not. I hated hiking the jibs at stowe, I always felt like I was gonna get nailed.

it just sucked cause north slope wasn't supposed to be the biggest park, but it really was cause spruce was sketchy as fuck. north didn't have enough room for a real park and thats just the higher-ups fault, and they probably don't know much about park so they didn't know that north slope isn't really a good spot for a park. oh well though. there were a lot of fun features and I really did have a blast everytime I went skiing. the park just could've been so much better is all I'm saying

Sorry it took a few days to get on here and throw out some big thanks, first I want to thank all of you guys/gals who showed up and killed it, I saw some ill shit go down, also wanted to thank you who still have faith in Stowe, yes it can be done when time is not a huge factor to put it all together or scramble to keep it together, I'm working on thoes in the Co. who need some schooling and could get me more help and machines, but big thanks go to Enlighter, eastAR5 and seemeski for stepping up and helping with feature suggestions and comming through in the 11th hour and got the last of the rails in the snow and showing up at 8am to help sculpt takeoffs so that the rest of you could rage! As ya'll can see I'm still a newb, but this site does work to get most of us on the same page and work together to improve the park situation, it's all about respect gets respect.

I hear you, and you're not alone, thanks for putting your thoughts out there. I wanted to address some of your issues, with N Slope, when you say "biggest" is that size of features or overall size of the park as a whole, because NSAA has noticed a trend with parks across the country that Medium Parks are the most used parks that any resort will offer because most freestyle riders can find something they can all ride. N Slope as a park trail is actually a really good trail, has the pitch and it's consistantly flat, we just need more of the trail to spread out more to get a more flowy park, and I'm pretty sure I've got them to committ more to me for 09. But I'm glad to see you did enjoy yourself "every time". Well, I'm working hard to get better terrain for the parks, Not sure where yet but I'm very vocal about it here at work to nudge them in the right direction.

Here's something you may not have known, I only have 1 snowcat to work with, it has to cover Sm, Md, Lg parks and 1/2 pipe and with only 15hrs a night to rebuild and groom them all, I'll tell you it's a race against time every night, I pass the cat off at midnight to my next guy to finish whatever I coulden't, with only 2 of us, rebuilds were next to impossible, if I worked during the day to do that 1 guy can't groom the rest alone, but like I said I'm working to get more operators and another machine. But in a way you're right, they don't know that much about parks, but our new V.P. of operations comes from MT. Snow when they had the X Games but the all mighty dollar rules anywhere you go, so you better have good answers whe they ask "how are we going to pay for this". I've been grooming for 15 yrs now and building parks for 14 yrs and I still learn things all the time, I've heard that "success is a series of mistakes" and it's true, no one lands a new trick the first time you try it, but you learn how to get closer to getting it.

So I'm still learning, and you guys/gals are helping, keep it comming, your opinions are welcome, whatever they are, just be respectfull. Thanks
