Stowe memorial day rail jam?>

word a 40 foot flat rail would be dope as long as it was set up nice and straight, a nice wide lip on, and definitely a nice landing, have it be a little downhill (flat rutted landings fucking suck)

and a 24 foot up rail would be dope too.. have it be a nice slope with a big drop for some nice floated spins.. also have a nice downhill landing.

other than that i dont even care what is up, a flat down box would be prime though.. i could session those 3 features for hours.. and for the kids that can't hit that shit just set up some smaller stuff to the side for them to play on.

I can see if the terrain will allow for a set up like that, where I'm working this year has a little steeper pitch than shown in the example, then flattens out. The flat down box is the closest thing I have to the middle feature shown, but I can tell you guys want a nice line to flow through, I'll do what can be done with your suggestions.

Not sure on the jump guys, it may committ too much snow, but I'll see. If it's anything like the last Memorial event, there was tons of people, the less features there are the faster they get torn up. I saw a photo of windhams pile of snow, we have much more (my opinion).

I'm in the shop working on 2 new features that I hope to have ready for the event, I said hope, there is a lot of preperation that needs to happen and I'm doing it all solo, but I have all week to do it.
 
word. all i know is that most of the "banger" kids are going to windham i think.... and then the rest to Mt snow on sunday..so might be less crowded then you'd think

is the jam going to be actually on the same pitch as the pipe? cause it seems like that would be super steep for rails .... mellow is always more fun and easier 2 sesh in the slush but yeah either way really looking forward to Saturday
 
The area of the pipe I'm using is at the bottom where it drops off so the pitch is way steeper then mellows out, you dig?

As for the help, thanks for the offer, I'll I.M. you guys if some of my others bail, I won't know till like thurs, I want to plant on Friday, can always use a shovel brigade.

If that crew wants to go south where the snow melts faster and there's less if it, then they can miss out on the full snow coverage, their choice.

I even know like 20 kids from windham who will treck to stowe instead if those are set up. I will be there friday to help shovel if needed.

yeah i have a vx2100 with raynox mx-3 wideangle, i'm bringing it but i really just wanna hike all day and not worry about filming.. film bitch anyone?
 
the more cams, the more footy there will be for edits. Everyone just needs to get in touch with one another after the jam and throw together a sick edit.

word is that they have a huge fuckin pile of snow to work with...nd did i mention it snowed three inches last night at stowe!!!...also therr are a bunch of features none of u are even dreaming about :)
 
seriously there cant be that much snow for a jam. although it sounds sweet, more fun in the bbq and drinking than skiing tho
 
you ever been to a late season jam? A 10ft by 10ft pile of snow is enough, shit a single pick up full of snow is enough.

Pretty sure the skiing is gonna be more fun then the BBQ :: )

But yeh the drinking will be fun for sure as it always is.
 
trust me i think therrr is gonna be plenty of snow for a BUNCH of rails...there was 3 inches of NEW SNOW two nights ago...
 
oh shit i forgot about a feature..... big gap to downbox would be sooo illll . Like wide lip with a 5 foot gap behella fun , spin bangers

but to be serious, adank and I will be there friday to help out the stowe park director to set shit up. he has been super legit and it looks like the 40ft flat and the 24ft up are a go.

Only downside is the flat got damaged when they where removing it, don't know how the fuck that happened prolly some newb behind the cat controls.

Either way I wanna thank the park director for being mad legit about this and hooking it up with what both boarders and skiers want. Gonna prove to be an epic jam.

im pretty sure theres a lot more snow than that.... i hiked up to the north park which is much lower than where the pipe is and there was tons of snow left like 20 feet deep
 


i just watched mt snows web cam and there setting up right now. dont think i can make it up though. unbelieveably stoked for stowe~
 
holy shit im looking at stowe's webcam on their site nd the cam they're showing looks like there is a full run of fuckin snow!! GNARLY
