Anyone gonna have any rails set up this weekend? Preferably near the base of the mtn haha.

If anyone knows of anything please share.

Word

post proof of this please, I talked to Kurt this morning and it was def still a go, so unless something drastic changed I am gonna call BS :: )

Please do post where you heard this though.

from the conditions page on Stowe's webstie:

Unfortunately, due to the weather forecast for the next 24-48 hours we

will not be able to provide a continuous top to bottom run by Friday

and therefore we will not be opening on Friday. Our next target date

for opening is Saturday, December 5th, conditions permitting. We will

keep the snow phone and website updated. Last night our snowmakers did

take advantage of the cold temperatures on the upper two-thirds of the

hill by making copious amounts of snow on Upper Lord, Lord, Ridgeview,

and the upper portion of North Slope. Cold air is forecast to return on

Thursday night and snowmaking operations will resume as soon as

possible. Please Note: The "First Trick Rail Jam" scheduled for

Saturday has been postponed, new date TBD. The Stowe Mountain Film

Festival continues all this week at venues around Stowe. The Season

Pass Office and Spruce Peak Sports at Spruce Camp Base Lodge, Stowe

Mountain Lodge, The Spa, Solstice and Hour Glass Bar are open on a

daily basis.

That is def lame for sure, w/e though I'd rather have Kurt hook it up with more snow and make it that much more legit, then have some attempt at it with rain trodden snow...

Cold temps have been hanging on and our snowmaking teams have been working their magic. We were actually able to blow snow in the base area of Lincoln Peak yesterday! It looks like the last wave of Indian summer will be moving through Vermont tomorrow, and with it... the chance of r%$n. If the r%$n is light, we should be able to open on Friday. If it's not so light, we will open Saturday.

Winter temps are barreling towards us and once they return, we will be running the guns nonstop!

Stay tuned here for the latest on Opening Day.

god this broke the news for me, so stoked about sugarballs,

jib-life theyll prob have rails that are easily hikeable

sometimes a dude scans tix up there, but you can just ski down to the lift if he does it

stoked on that news

lolz sux 4 u. jokes, but now I get to go to opening day on caturday. this week is going soooooo slooooooow.

FUCK why isn't it saturday yet?

it looks like more of a snowboarder-geared thingamajig haha, it looks weird as hell, but yeah i see how it could be fun, I just hope they have rails and boxes and and and stuff!!!

So just to get things straight, the first trick rail jam is not going to be the 5th?Also, will it be the same sor of thing as the last trick jam from last year? I don't really want to go if it's just going to be a huge competition thing...just fun an chill.

smuggs had a pretty legit setup on opening day last year. i doubt theyll have anything this weekend since were having such a hard time with snow and everything. theyre supposed to open this sunday but im probably going to be near by on saturday so i could maybe go check out if they did anything
