STOWE 10/11

Yup our insurance co had no issue with the jump itself but the side of it was an issue to them if someone fell off it, and believe me I'm bummed, I liked that jump too, but yea had to swap them. Stepdown it is and she's tall, but has a big landing, it's much like the Main Event jump that was on Spruce last season for a minute. RIP stepover, you will be missed.

On another note, the weather makes me want to curse the skies, damn you mother nature!!! The snow was in decent shape, we just got it back...

The saddest thing about this is that even with a giant wall on one side, the step over is by far a safer jump than a massive step down will even be. Bummer, but I suppose it is to be expected. Stowe management, stamping out fun wherever possible!

Umm, this is not the mgnt's directive, it came down from our ins co. if we want parks we kind of need to comply with what comes down the line from them. Nature of the biz...

it just seems a bit ridiculous that after years of waiting for a really dope jump year, which finally came this year, that it gets shut down a month after getting them up

first jump is pretty dope and they're not changing it at all... I loved that step up too, we had a bit of a rough relationship towards the end, but to be honest the speed for that thing was going to be almost impossible in the spring. Sounds like there's a pretty massive step down going in too so that should be fun.

i agree with that. i did love that jump but its true that in a week or two it would be impossible to get speed. hell it was hard last week. on to new things its w/e

Holy crap, everything is buried, going to take us a few days to get the parks back to somewhat normal, so in the meantime enjoy the woods. Tried a little something different with that stepdown on Tyro, I know it wasn't everyone's favorite so I wanted to make it more fun.

All due respect, but it's snowed 2+ feet and the biggest concern is whether a flat rail is available?!?!

haha I'm just interested in what will be replacing the step down of death. I'd rather ski pow any day though

Alright so we're still in the process of digging out and trying to get the parks back to a decent shape which may take us another day or two and looking at the weather makes me want to cry. Starting Thurs nite calling for rain/freezing rain, Fri same into the nite then into Sat, WTF! Dang!

The 2 best rails were taken out of the park, the down rail with the donkey dick and the red bull rail...it would be ideal to get those back in the park along with the long flat rail...if anything make the jump onto the down rail at the bottom way smaller

pretty much the same only cannon moved down to where the big jump was, RIP.

today was great had some turns where it felt better than cumming and shitting at the same time

yeah! today was really dope. a few inches of thick snow covered up everything, and NOBODY was there to ski it. had plenty of untouched lines from 9-close. too bad its gonna get wet...

that day was sick as hell... such good pow lately but now rain... this week should be warm and sick for park though. What's the status of the donkey in tyro Kurt??

although we are all said to see the last jump go, the park is still pretty damn fun right now.

i do however have a couple suggestions that i think would make a huge difference:

first off that new step down jump. you should push that hump before the jump back a little and make it a jump so you could have a quick little rythme section to pack.

second, that cannon rail at the bottom of tyro has tons of potential, but right now its a flat rail with little to no airtime off the end. so you could either tilt it more and make it an actual canon, or take some snow off the deck so its a high flat rail

just some suggestions, but parks real fun right now kurt, so keep it up

I agree with this.
The new roller-jump feature could be way way better if there was a bit more space between the two and if they were a bit larger.
Lovin the parks though

lil edit from lappin today. mad foggy but conditions and park were fun. I agree with making the cannon flat more of a cannon and pushing the roller into a jump.

the park is super fun but I just wish the tyro jumps were as big as they once were. they've gotten really small and a lot of the landings in north slope are flat

Do I get Gnar points?

was there today and kind of disappointed, spring skiing is usually the most fun time of the year and all the lips to the rails were pretty much non existant, as well as the landings on north slope. Also none of the fun rails are actually up (redbull, 40', donkey) which I know aren't going to be put in this late at the season but Stowe blew it pretty hard by taking all those out.

well today really wasnt spring skiing so I'll cut them a break. Skied heavy pow all morning. Tyro wasnt too bad sides the landings. Second jump needs some work it was soooo flat landing. I agree with the fun rails but what can we do? nothin.

early morning today was awesome. i have no clue how the parks were but the mountain was awesome for april 6th. ill take 7 inches of snow over 50 and sunny any day.
